Hailing from Japan! Mirai Akimoto is one of the most exciting talents in women’s street skateboarding. Known for her precise board control, creative trick selection, and effortless style on rails and ledges, she has built a reputation for making difficult tricks look easy. As the winner of the 2026 Jackalope Golden Ticket in Women’s Street, Mirai earned her spot after being handpicked by the crew alongside legendary skateboarders Bob Burnquist and Manny Santiago. It’s a huge achievement and a testament to the skill, consistency, and progression she brings every time she steps on her board. Now officially part of the 2026 Jackalope Tour, Mirai is set to showcase her world-class skating at both Jackalope Virginia Beach and Jackalope Mississauga. Keep an eye on her—she’s ready to put on a show.

Not every session happens on a skateboard 🇨🇦
Before JACKALOPE Mississauga, our Visit Mississauga Golden Ticket winners traded tricks for a day of exploring & trying a few Canadian classics. Thanks to @visitmississauga for showing our skaters what makes this city more than just a contest stop❤️‍🔥 taken in Mississauga,ON,Canada by @mirai__71

So stoked to be back on the podium after Virginia! 🤍

Huge thanks to Jackalope for giving me the opportunity to compete at the World Championship—something I’d always dreamed of. 🥹

Thank you to everyone I met and everyone who made this weekend so special.

Had the best time ever.

Hope to see you all again someday! 🫶
