From the outside, my life looked perfect. It just never felt perfect to me.

Life on Fire, last weekend. They hand you a piece of wood and tell you to write down the thing standing between you and what you actually want. I wrote this.

Twenty-six years of building businesses for other people and that was still the sentence underneath all of it. Not revenue. Not markets. That.

It is a silly exercise right up until it is your own handwriting.

Another professional door closed, and for the first time I asked myself a different question.

Not how quickly can I rebuild the life I know. Whether I had the courage to take everything I learned building for other people and start building something that was actually mine.

I went to @lifeonfireofficial last weekend still carrying that question around. Hal signed this one to me.

Twenty-six years in and I still turn up to these as the person taking notes.

Successful on paper. Quiet online.

For a long time I let my work speak for me. It felt safer than being seen.

Something is shifting. Not confidence. Not yet. Just a little more willing to be heard before I feel ready.

Changing chapters takes more than a new plan. For me, it also takes something steady to come back to.

I’ve been part of The Miracle Morning community since 2023. I recorded this on October 5, after finishing a 30-day practice. During my career pivot, it helped me with my mindset, energy and staying positive when things still felt uncertain.

Day 7 of the 30-Day Not Into Social Challenge. A reflection from an earlier challenge that I’m bringing into this one: keep going, and if you miss a day, try again.

Five Reels. 2,835 views. Here’s what I’m learning. Day 6 of the 30-Day Not Into Social Challenge. That’s views across Instagram and Facebook, not individual people, and Facebook brought slightly more of them. The honest part: I kept opening with “Day 1 of…” instead of telling you what the video was about. Starting today, the topic comes first. Today’s practice: look at your last post. Could a stranger tell what it’s about in one second? Not polished. Not perfect. Just practice. Today’s co-star is Luci — my walking buddy, my rescue girl, and clearly the more natural one on camera.

Drool happening.
Messy bun.
Full sunshine.

But honestly, this is one of my favorite parts of the morning.

Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October. Four days in a room with people who are all building something.

Not on the stage. In the room, writing things down by hand like I did at twenty-four.

I have never understood the people who stop doing this once they get a title. The day you decide you are the one who knows is the day you stop being useful to anybody.
