Meet Carlie Arbaugh, MD, MS, Chef 👩‍⚕️🍳 Dr. Arbaugh completed a 4-week clinical rotation at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals and the University of Zimbabwe in Harare (Oct–Nov 2025), advancing global surgery through hands-on collaboration.

Next up in the series from Carlie and Rana’s wedding at “The People’s Palace” is a monochromatic set. To me, the first picture captures the scale of San Francisco’s City Hall, especially the perspective of couples ascending The Grand Staircase to get married within The Rotunda.

A bonus is a monochromatic treatment of one of my favorite shots of the day at the end. Really love how Carlie’s white dress stands out in these all of these photos and Rana’s dark suit stands out in the last one.

What a great couple and a joy to capture.

Next up in the series from the wedding of my brother (Rana) and his wife (Carlie) are interior color shots from San Francisco’s City Hall.

I’m a big fan of making my photography look like paintings and I think I achieved that effect here. From The Grand Staircase to the nooks inside City Hall, I really like how the composition turned out and how we captured their joy.

This is the first in a series of photos with my brother (Rana) and his wife (Carlie) on their wedding day. I’m beyond grateful our lives (which started in the Midwest and East Coast) have intersected at this point and we were able to photograph the moment in front of one of the most iconic backdrops in the world, The Golden Gate Bridge.

I’ve photographed San Francisco for well over a decade and I can honestly say this is right up there among my favorite photos I’ve ever shot. The reason I say that is because it captures all the stylistic influences I’ve embodied in my photography over the years and is uniquely special because of the subjects, especially their pup Roxie.

Thank you Rana and Carlie for reinvigorating my love for photography and giving me the privilege of capturing the first page of your new chapter. You’re both as incredible as the day we experienced. Love you both.
