It was the delight of my year to costume design for CO_LAB’s There Used To Be A Forest Here. This story about community, friendship, tending and caring for one another was truly magnificent and touched my heart.

Most of the cast had two looks; one as a tree and the other as a woodland creature. And then our 4 sprites to represent the four seasons! Featured here are some stellar photos of our dress rehearsal. Photography credit to @dhopediamond
And then a couple of my own during the creating process!

A massive thank you to Erin Black @erin.s.black for introducing me to this theater group! I wouldn’t be the designer I am today without your expertise. Thank you always.

And, a HUGE shoutout to the amazing work happening at CO_LAB! Please check out their page and consider donating or getting involved in some way. Thank you for all that you do!

I will DEFINITELY be back soon⭐️ by @mireya.vel

What a special special special night this was. I am so so grateful to Margot for every lesson, assignment, trick, experiment and support during our sessions together. Thank you to Jacob (@howlvoicemethod) for putting this all together and making it happen! Another big thank you to Janice and Alec for all of their wisdom during our sessions. And lastly, thank you @catboynton for these lovely photos and videos. You are all so wonderful🌟

I’ve added a short clip of my first video I made singing this song and it’s crazy how much of a difference there is! I have loved this experience so much and loved playing with these sassy cats! What a night!!🐈🎹🎷
