The final training before taper week.

It wasn’t the perfect training block. Between the workload and constant travelling, it wasn’t easy, but I gave it everything I could. Now, I accept whatever comes on race day.

Alhamdulillah!!! Trail of the Kings 🏔️ Lake Toba 🇮🇩

This race was all about experimenting. Pushing hard, but not going all out. Also testing out a new outsole setup

Breakaway was good, climbing felt strong. Barai ada la jugak as usual but still manageable. The last 2km was tough though, probably because of the heat.

Overall, happy with the effort and the experience. A good reminder that there’s still more to explore and improve.

Huge thanks to the @enclave_running_crew for making this journey even better. My backbone as always @aathrh 🙌

Amazean Jungle Thailand by UTMB 🇹🇭
55KM • 2400m EG

Alhamdulillah, survived another one.

Came into this race on very little sleep. Sleep score was terrible for almost a week and could already feel it during the first two climbs. Body felt sluggish and lazy early on, decided to play it safe first because the toughest section belum start. Bonk awai tak pasai

Betong heat was something else. Definitely underestimated the weather. Nasib ada shower sections along the road and even farmers’ sprinklers

Took a quick 20-25 min nap at A2 before the toughest part of the race, 14KM with 900m EG sebab badan memang berat before that. Told myself, if I could survive that climb, then I could start pushing a little more

@garminmalaysia ClimbPro memang super helpful mentally. Made it easier to break down the climbs and plan my fuelling

Settled the hardest section, everything started feeling smoother. Just cruised and enjoyed the views. Fuelling on points, tailwind, GU gel and anti Fatigue

Overall, route was super fun, Betong community was incredibly supportive, makanan aid station tiptop, and photographer baeek!!
