When I traded my camera for a paintbrush for the very first time during the 2020 lockdown, I could never have imagined that by 2025 I would be closing the year with two solo exhibitions, a thirty-minute documentary about my work, and the certainty that all of this is my dream.🤍

What could be more beautiful than knowing exactly what inspires you? Than having a passion that fills you completely? Than having more ideas than hours in a day? Than the certainty that, no matter how many arguments speak against it, the reasons to keep going will always be stronger?✨

None of this would be possible without the bands I work with, without the people who give my art a home, without those who open doors for me, who support me with their guidance and their hands-on help, and without those who quiet my doubts when they grow too loud.🖤

So am I closing the year 2025 by saying that I have achieved my dream? I hope not — because what would life be without dreams?💭

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Should I start with the fact that this past weekend was unforgettable, and that I was able to host another exhibition? Or should I start with what it felt like to see this film? Seeing it surrounded by so many people, with my paintings all around me, was truly emotional. @andre.scheidegger_visual_art managed to capture what has become such a huge part of my life and who I am. Do you know what moved me the most? Watching this film and realizing that I am actually living my dream! Thank you. Simply, thank you.🖤
.
Special thanks to:
@imminenceswe // @bergeddie
Thank you for your trust and for allowing me to use your music in this film. I am truly grateful that I was able to create this project using a photo from your concert and your song “The Black.” This project has inspired me deeply, and I will never take that for granted. It means a lot to me.🤍
.
For everyone who’s wondering: we’ll wait a little longer before sharing the movie online. That weekend was simply too good not to experience again, and we’d love to show the film and some paintings at a few other places first. We’ll keep you updated.🫶🏻

Painting at my own exhibition is one thing, but painting in front of people who aren’t there to see me, who just happen to stumble upon me on their way to a concert, is something completely different.

I was honestly so nervous about how people would react. Would they even care about what I was doing? Or would they just wonder what the hell this stranger was doing painting at a metal show? 🧟‍♀️✨
What can I say? What happened that evening was more than I ever dared to dream of. So many people stopped by, showed genuine interest, loved my art and watched me paint.

Getting likes and comments on social media is wonderful, but seeing real people react to my paintings right in front of me is something else entirely. It was incredibly inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, showed my art some love and reminded me once again why I love art, metal music and its people so much. 🖤

I also want to give @goodnews_productions a quick shout-out. I wouldn’t be able to do things like this without the people pulling the strings behind the scenes to make it all happen. I know you all have long to-do lists already, and the fact that you’re willing to add even more to them just to help me bring my unusual ideas to life means the world to me.🤍

Multiple screenings of “UNLEASHED” and live painting in between, all day long. What a perfect Sunday. 🤍
.
Thank you to everyone who came by, watched me paint, asked questions, connected with my work, watched the movie, and made me smile. Seeing strangers from very different backgrounds come together and talk about art makes my heart full. As much as I appreciate every kind comment and every lovely DM about my work, there is something so different about sharing it in real life.
On days like this, I’m reminded of what not only painting itself gives me, but also of all the beautiful things that have come with it — the encounters, conversations, connections, and moments I would never have experienced otherwise.🥹🖤
.
Thank you @solheure for being so generous with your space and time and for helping me make this event happen. I don’t take any of this for granted. 🤍

P.S. I can’t wait to get back to the studio and finish this painting of @landmvrks // @flo_ldmvs 🎨✨

On Friday, October 9th, I’ll be moving my workplace to @halle622_zurich and painting live during the evening with @dimmuborgir and @behemothofficial 🖤 Of course, I’ll still bring my camera – and some of my finished paintings as well.🎨📸 I would LOVE to see some familiar faces and share my love for art with everyone attending the show.🤍
.
A huuuuge thank you to @goodnews_productions for opening this door for me, giving my art visibility in probably the best place I could ever ask for.🖤

Half a year ago, I painted this portrait of @courtneylaplante from @spiritboxmusic . The challenge was to paint it using only one shade of blue and black.

I think I painted it well. And yet, to me, it was nothing more than that.

I kept it in my office, right where I could see it all the time, hoping that at some point I would figure out what was missing. Honestly, I slowly started to hate it, because somehow it represented everything I don’t want my art to be: just a nicely painted portrait.

Today, I felt the need to try something new. To be reckless. To use a looooot of paint, solvents, and basically anything that seemed like fun. So I took this painting and just started, without thinking too much about where it would go.

And it felt so good.

You can see the full, uncut process in this video. In real life, it was about an hour of cursing, rushing, smearing, cleaning things up, and smearing them all over again.

Now it’s something different.

I honestly don’t know if it’s a better painting now. But I do know that it finally tells a story. It has movement, chaos and something unexpected. It feels like more than just a nicely painted portrait.

And maybe that was what was missing all along.🤍
