Esta es una carta de amor para mi padre, por su 87.º cumpleaños: un rey entre los hombres, el amor de mi vida…

I don’t revel in anyone’s passing, but it’s fitting that the last person who imprisoned you and mama and exiled and enslaved our family is on his death bed. You both and what’s left of our family have been blessed enough to see this day (I hope 🙏).

I dedicated this video to my parents, my family in Cuba and here, my family that did not live to this day, and to my aunt Miriam and Elsa who passed away very recently.
Also to my beautiful Cuba and the city that adopted us crazy exiles Boston 🩷

Felicidades Papa.. te adoro.

My parents are 94 and 87 and are among the oldest of Castro’s political prisoners still living in exile. We didn’t arrive in Miami, like most others, but in Boston 🙏

The photograph in the introduction was taken in 1967, inside one of Castro’s forced-labor camps, where they were made to work until 1970. When they finally fled the island, my father never saw his mother or brothers again. La Familia Gonzalez y Moreno de Marianao

Sorry for the same location, it’s the only place with light and peace. Happy New Year! Remember your 12 grapes (good luck) and champagne. This year has been different to say the least. Thank you all for your patience and kindness with me always. I wish you all the very best always with all my love ❤️🍾🥂 by @mirilgonzalez
