Achieving free flow in the studio is a wonderful feeling.
I’m working towards a solo show in Cessnock, my home town. Opens December 5th at @pacc_gallery

. I love travelling on public transport or spending time in public places just to look deeply at people. Sometimes I make sketches , but most of the time I just soak up the person’s face and mannerisms. I guess that’s why I enjoy mimicking others, but the thing I love most is being surprised by the persons openness and humanity. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.

Last head seems to be James Packer from 20 years ago. You absorb these things and you never know when they’ll resurface, or what they’ll be used for, and it’s very odd he’s reappeared as I’m not a fan of billionaires, but I guess I saw a glimpse of a real human by the fact he kept fking up business deals, and to this day I’m not sure if it was because he was too humane, too dumb or too ruthless.

Poorlean, the leader we need right now. And her caring sugar mummy Gina the Gut.
It can be tough providing for a child.
Thankfully Poorlean is toilet trained. She’s our only hope, unless Gina has babies with Elon and creates a new line of Gut/Musk psychopaths, which would be even better.

Starting a new work based on a ghost image from a wall drawing I made in my studio.
Moving between mediums whilst trying to convey the same sense of an ink drawing that’s seeped through a cloth is surprisingly difficult using thick gel paint, it’s got such a different hand feel and behaviour to the liquidity of the ink and the uncontrolled nature of the bleed through. Time to let it dry and come back tomorrow with fresh eyes and a focussed mind.

That’s a wrap!!
The incredible @kyle_ramboyong dancing in the work ‘Witness’, for which he also made the powerful soundtrack.
Such pure emotional channelling.

produced through @catapult_dance for @newannual with funding from @creatensw
Last night was the final performance @newcastleartgalleryaustralia

What a brilliant opportunity created by the unstoppable Cadi McCarthy.
Making a dance work has been in my bucket list for a very long while and I’m thrilled to be able to make@it happen.

‘Witness’ is a dance collaboration between Kyle Ramboyong and myself.
It is pure emotion, channelled into physical form. Watching it gives me hope yet also makes me want to cry. It’s beautiful and challenging.

What the hell is happening to humanity? We need to fight fascism and the barbarians who continuously plunder the planet.
The next two nights are sold out. Thanks to @creatensw for funding, to Cadi @catapult_dance and to @newannual for having us as part of an awesome art festival. by @mirrored_vacuum
