Thank you, ASTech Awards, for nominating me for the Women in Innovation and Leadership, Indigenous Community Empowerment category.

It has truly been such an honour.

This past week, I attended the ASTech Awards Showcase, and it was incredible to meet several board members and connect with my fellow nominees.

One conversation, in particular, stayed with me.

A board member shared that in one of the organizations he leads, AI and vibe coding are enabling junior developers to ship code much faster.

But most of that code is becoming increasingly difficult to review and maintain.

And as a result, the organization has had to hold off on hiring junior employees.

That’s a major problem!

AI may be lowering the technical barrier to creating things, but it also creates new operational bottlenecks.

If suddenly more people can produce more, but fewer people understand how to evaluate, manage, and take responsibility for what gets produced, have we really removed the production barrier?

AI should expand opportunity, not become another reason to close the door on emerging talent.

Our responsibility as leaders is not simply to give people access to AI tools.

We also need to equip them with AI literacy skills: strategic judgment, critical thinking, and technical foundational skills to use those tools well.

I WAS SELECTED BY THE ALBERTA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOUNDATION FOR 2 AWARDS 🏆✨🙏🏿💃🏿

My dream was to be a model.

18 years old, signed to an agency.

Eager to make waves in the fashion industry.

But I knew something was missing.

I loved fashion, but I also loved math and physics.

I loved applying equations to real-life scenarios to see how well they worked!

I loved understanding how things worked.

So I found another new path: technology.

And eventually, AI.

Since then, I’ve been helping businesses innovate with AI.

Educating people about AI

Advocating for women and minority representation in AI.

Building intelligence and helping people understand how they can thrive in a rapidly changing world.

That’s why this award means so much to me.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve been selected as a finalist for the 37th Annual ASTech Awards for the Leadership & Community Empowerment category.

Looking back at the 18-year-old girl who thought her path would be modelling, I realize something:

I’ve been on the right path all along.

The industry may have changed, but that desire to create, express myself, and make an impact never did.

Thank you to my mentor, who believed in me and gave me clarity and confidence when I needed it the most!

And thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and opened doors for me along this journey.

This recognition means a lot, but it also reminds me that there is still so much more work to do.

I’m excited for what’s ahead. ❤️

P.S. Modelling will always be a passion of mine. I guess I’m just doing it in a different way now. 😉

Here’s how to maximize your earning potential in 2026:

1. Use meditation to identify which problems you can solve using AI.

AI is a multidisciplinary technology. The question isn’t, “How can we use AI?” It’s usually, “Is this problem worth solving with AI?” Always lead with a goal in mind. Most failed businesses start with a solution and work backwards to find a problem. Flip that.

2. Use meditation to identify your greatest savings opportunities.

Meditate on your typical day. Take some time away to reflect on your spending patterns, subscriptions, and financial commitments. Saving might not make you a millionaire, but it gives you the discipline to manage the money that comes in.

P.S. Claude can analyze up to 10 months of your monthly statements and provide an in-depth analysis!

3. Use meditation to find investment opportunities.

Reflect on the top 10 valuable relationships you have. Note the value they’ve added to your life and how you’ve responded to it. High-value relationships require time, effort, and financial investment, but the yield is endless.

Pay attention to potential stock investments during meditation. Utilities, defence, and dual-use technology have experienced record gains in the past few years, and through quietness, you can identify the wave early on.

I spend $300/month on AI tools to AI-max my business. 🤯

Yes, you heard that right… $300.

But here’s the thing: I’m not paying for four tools that do exactly the same thing. Each one has a different job in my AI business stack:

🟠 Claude — My go-to for Cowork, Claude Code, structured documents, spreadsheets, and more complex work.

🟢 NotebookLM — I use it to curate and develop content scripts from a closed, trusted source list.

🔵 Perplexity — My choice for live web search, research, and finding up-to-date information.

⚫ ChatGPT — I use it for quick, random, lower-token tasks throughout the day.

Could I run my business with fewer AI subscriptions? Probably.

But the bigger question is whether the $300/month generates more than $300 worth of productivity, time savings, and business value.

AI can be the best learning partner you never knew you had.

Here’s what I mean →

A 2023 neuroscience study found something simple but powerful: repeated practice + feedback helps your brain catch mistakes, update memory, and lock in what you learned.

That’s exactly how I’m using AI to learn French.

→ I ask it to quiz me and score my grammar and pronunciation
→ I have it translate and identifies patterns
→ I use public TCF/TEF prep resources to grow my vocabulary and pick up cultural context
→ I bring in the five senses to make it immersive
→ I even ask it to teach me the way it would train another AI model, breaking things down and reinforcing patterns

It’s not a replacement for a tutor or mentor. But it gives you something every learner needs more of: practice and feedback, on demand.

This is the same seat that has been occupied by the likes of the Minister of AI and Innovation, Minister Evan Solomon, and the U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Pete Hoekstra.

We’ve all seen the headlines about mass layoffs. Meta laid off 4,000 people in 2026 alone, and Amazon and Microsoft have collectively laid off more than 27,000 people since 2025. So, I had to talk about how you can AI-proof your career in 2026 because i’m confident that you can’t be replaced by AI.
