Get ready to stand out! Our exclusive Okinawan Festival Collection is finally live online, but trust us, it won’t last long.

From our popular “Ippee Nifee Deebiru” and “I’m Japanese & Okinawan” tees to our handcrafted Bingata Shorts, dance fans, and festival accessories—we brought back the local favorites you loved! 🌺✨

Because everything is handcrafted in small batches, inventory is extremely limited. The early bird gets the style—once these are gone, they’re gone! Don’t wait cause they sold out one day 1 at okifest! by @misekimono

The energy at the Okinawan Festival this weekend was unmatched, and even though it just wrapped up, we’re already counting down to next year! 🌺

I can’t pinpoint the exact year of my very first Okinawan Festival, but one of my favorite memories is visiting my great-grandfather while he was volunteering back when it was held at Kapiʻolani Park. Every year we participate, I take a quiet moment during the festival to talk to my great-grandparents. I say a silent pray and ask them if they’re proud of where we are and what we’re creating. I don’t always get a clear answer, but carrying on this tradition—showing up, participating, and honoring our heritage—gives me a feeling I can’t quite put into words.

It’s easily one of our favorite events of the year, and for good reason. Celebrating our Nishihara roots alongside thousands of fellow Uchinanchu, talking story, sharing our work, and feeling that deep connection is what makes the Hawaiʻi Okinawan community so special.
We’re exhausted, elated, and already dreaming of next year.

Ippee Nifee deebiru to everyone who stopped by and celebrated with us! 💛✨ by @misekimono
