We’re still holding on to the immense amount of support and love for MISFITS/ARCH & Showcase of MISFITS. We’re so grateful to everyone that came to the shows and can’t wait to continue our journey forward together.

Join us in welcoming our final choreographer @starl.a for the Showcase of MISFITS! 🥳

Starla Edwards (she, her) is a choreographer and performer based in New York City. Her work grows from a deep curiosity about personal history and expression and has been presented in venues across NYC. She was a Spring 2025 Resident Artist with the Baryshnikov Arts Center, where she began developing her current project Thick Salt.

Edwards previously performed with Camille A. Brown & Dancers and holds a BFA in Dance and Arts Management from George Mason University. She is currently in her second season with McKoy Dance Project, serving as Artistic and Rehearsal Staff.

Introducing our next choreographer for our very first Showcase of MISFITS! Please welcome @jessearnst 🎉

Jesse Arnst was born in China and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is an alumni of Fiorello LaGuardia High School. After graduating from George Mason University under the direction of Susan Shields, Jesse continued her studies at Nuova Officina Della Danza, Torino, Italy. She’s had the privilege to present her work internationally and continues to develop her performance art process in New York.
