OlenaSballet school's students about Ducon Intensives.

Ducon Intensives, launched in 2023 by Runqiao Du, popularly known as Mr. Du, has become a valuable annual training opportunity for ballet students in Asia, including students from India.
Two of our students attended the program in 2025, and based on their positive experience, four students participated this year. Led by Mr. Du and a panel of experienced teachers, the intensive challenges students’ technique, resilience, and discipline while strengthening their overall training.
After returning, students can apply their learning to regular practice under the guidance of their teacher Olena Ma'am.
I recommend Ducon Intensives for serious ballet students seeking stronger technique, wider exposure, and continued growth.

One of the biggest misconceptions in ballet: thinking en croix means anywhere between front and side.

It doesn’t.

En croix is a cross. Front. Side. Back. Each position has a specific direction and placement that must be controlled with the body, legs, and even the head.

The barre is where that precision is built. by @mish.room

“Soft arms” doesn’t mean weak arms.

A lot of dancers hear “use softer arms” and accidentally remove all the support needed for turns. Then suddenly the pirouette feels impossible to control.

Your arms still need resistance. They still need energy. They still need to hold the movement.

That’s why even when balance starts to disappear, strong placement in the arms can still help you save the turn and finish clean instead of collapsing out of it. by @mish.room
