the winds change direction. some day, they will blow towards a brighter future ✨

the reasons for painting this:
1 - I need to practice light
2 - I LOVE VENTI SO MUCH

that’s all, that’s the post 💖
(there was also, once again, a ton of trial and error but I somehow made it work?)

Levi being good with animals is canon (as is him being cat-coded) 💖
I actually got inspired by a post about exactly that for this drawing 🙂‍↕️

And so, here is my most detailed digital artwork to date! I applied everything I’ve learned so far combined with trying some new elements and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out 😇

Trafalgar Law x Wano Kuni 🍡♥️

I’ve had this scene in my head ever since the end of the Wano arc (literally, so for AGES✨) and now I finally felt confident enough make it exist. It was still a huge challenge, I learned a lot (especially once again not to give up in the ugly stage hehe) and there’s so much already I’d do differently if I started it again 😌

ANYWAY I hope you enjoy our surgeon of death on a break 💖

Sano Manjiro 🥀 bonten ver.

the space here will never be enough to talk about how much this character means to me, soooo let’s head straight to the art yapping:

I started this back in early august thinking I had plenty of time to finish before the upcoming season. and now it’s airing TOMORROW 😭♥️

originally this was supposed to be one of many practice doodles using my figurines as references. I ended up liking the sketch a little too much though hehe

I often have a hard time diverging from the source material (probably because of my job), so I took the chance to deliberately make changes & additions to my liking 😌 many of the tiny details were revised multiple times only to never be noticed by anyone. they did give me the chance to experiment with textures though which I think I learned a lot by 😇

I could yap for another twenty paragraphs but I’ll stop here 🙏🏻 as always find some process in the slides (this time focusing on the sketch process especially) and a little self-indulgent close-up of my blood sweat and tears work ♥️

Manila Mikey 🥀
watched the episode last night & today went to sketch this page in one sitting start to finish 🥲
rewatching/reading tokyo revengers always makes me emotional, but this time I feel it’s even stronger than usual.

I could probably write an essay on why I think that is, but posting pages from my sketchbook makes me feel vulnerable enough soo maybe another day 😌

as always I hope you also enjoy this side of my art, take care everyone & see you soon ♥️

hanma shuji!! ryuguji ken!!!

I love love love the short scene that inspired putting the two of them on one sheet together 😭 we don’t even get to see the fight but the aftermath is so GOOD also I live for hair down hanma
(find the bonus slide bruised & bloody 😇)

they’re both from my recent studies, I’ve been drawing faces daily again like I used to but more focused on... what, exactly? something between style, expression, and just that THING that I still find lacking in my art.

these were super fun to do, not one second felt like a chore and I rarely experience this these days even for art I generally enjoy working on. so maybe, we’re on the right path!

I always love when other artists put just the character on white background, but when I do it myself I find it looks lowkey stupid 😌 find the page I used for decoration in the final slide

come on - I know you’ve been waiting for me to take you to snezhnaya 🤍

here we go!! I’ve been craving to do this ever since I first tried the train mechanics playing Wanderer 😌
thanks to hoyofair’s theme & sneak peeks, I hurried up a little so I’d come before them hehehe

all in all this was once again way above my skill grade and there were A LOT of moments when I considered quitting. I did take a ton of notes on the skills I need to work on though, so it was worth it one way or another. also I’m decently happy with the outcome despite all the difficulties 😇

in the following slides find even more steps than usual because for once, I did a lot of saves in between & couldn’t decide which ones to leave out 😌

& now I leave it to you to decide if it’s wanderer or scaramouche… 🌝♥️

they wanted to spell LOVE, but Draken is the only one with half a decent braincell 😔🥀

my little pose study from this week escalated all by itself 😇
I had a lot of fun playing around with the poses and limited myself to only a g-pen and a marker brush, the most basic layer modes and, most importantly, very very little anatomy revision.

posting this takes A LOT of getting over myself because you know, what would anyone ever love me for if it wasn’t for my perfectionist works 😌 so we‘ll consider this exposure therapy on my way to a more expressive style.

attached bonus slide: Mikey actually showing off
(might make something out of this as well, who knows)

you‘re getting all worked up over nothing 👅

yayyy finally a finished Scaramouche!
I hope you like it, everything in this drawing kind of just… happened
the initial vacay scribbling shown in last slide hardly has a anything to do with the finished version hehe ♥️

I once again experimented during the process, without actual lineart but a pencil brush instead, and applying light effects in the very end was fun 😇 learning a lot these days and trying to apply it in every next work that follows.

ANYWAY I have another idea for him I really really NEED to do soon-ish so stay tuned 🙂‍↕️

conqueror of demons ✨Xiao
of course I needed to make one for my first love in genshin 💖

I liked the concept for the Scara art I made too much to not use it one more time.
Hope you enjoy this one as well 🙏🏻

Kazuha ♥️
finally!! I’ve been meaning to draw him for ages! he’s my most played character by FAR (did you expect that?)

this one gave me some headaches first because I was planning to do something different when I began sketching him, but then I decided on adding him as another portrait in my „window series“ - three is a series, right? 😌
I definitely want to keep adding more characters to it in the future.

find some layering steps in the second slide if you’re interested 😇

in case you forgot who’s the canonically prettiest in teyvat ✨
I drew the sketch for this one about four months ago (it was supposed to be finished for wanderers birthday 💀) but colouring-wise I definitely bit off more than I could chew back then hehe
soooo satisfying to see the many practice hours paying off, I’m really happy with how it turned out now 💖
