Day 2 Dolomites: We hit Seceda early in the morning and the weather worked out perfectly. The forecast was giving STORM, but we decided to send it anyway, and it cleared up the second we started our hike. The trail was also almost completely empty because people were probably trying to avoid the rain - nothing like the huge crowds we were seeing online (which was also a concern). Temperatures were nice and cool the whole way with rain rolling in right at the end, which was the perfect way to wrap the hike~

Day 1 Dolomites: Picked up our rental car in Venice and drove about three hours to the Dolomites and did a short hike to a cute rifugio before dinner. It was mostly a travel day and we hadn’t done much, but it was already sooooo beautiful and we were SO freaking excited to finally be back in some real mountains!!

Final Venice round up 🩷 We enjoyed Venice so much, and I think it’s mostly due to the fact that there were no cars on the main island. I love pedestrian-first cities so much and wish all cities were designed to be more about the people and public spaces rather than cars 🥺
