That’s right, folks, the wait is over! You can now get my sophomore novel, “Sadie and Summer Plan the Wedding of the Century” from the link in my bio! It’s available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook. (Those of you who preordered the ebook will get it today.) Just a heads-up, this book is a bit more expensive than On A Scale and I wanted to quickly address that. It’s a fair bit more mature than On A Scale, being an adult novel instead of YA, and in this case that resulted in about two hundred more pages of story. But I’ve also grown a lot as a writer since On A Scale (plus, this book has the fantastically detailed cover by Sunny), so in my eyes it’s worth those few extra bucks. But, if that isn’t your financial situation right now, that’s also totally fine and I don’t judge you at all. Now on to the fun stuff! One-sentence summary: A florist and a baker work together to plan their best friends’ wedding, and slowly fall in love themselves. Recommended age range: 18+ Some tropes within: Friends to lovers, found family, friend group, matchmaker best friend, slow burn, mutual pining, hurt/comfort, return to hometown (kind of), grumpy x sunshine (kind of), the dog loves the love interest, they bake together, happily ever after Content warnings: adult language, off-page cheating, off-page body-shaming, recreational consumption of alcohol, some sexually explicit content, mild descriptions of grief/mourning, illness of a pet (no death), discussions of unaccepting family (homophobia, transphobic microaggressions) I really, really hope you’ll take a chance on this second baby of mine and that you’ll love it as much as I do. - #writer #writersofinstagram #writerscommunity #adultromance #sapphicadultromance #sapphicbooks #sapphicromance #wlwbooks #wlwromance #lgbtbooks #queerbooks #queerbookstagram #friendstolovers #friendstoloversbooks #friendstoloversromance #foundfamilybooks #transbooks #transromance #newrelease #selfpublished #selfpublishedauthor #bookstagram #sadieandsummerplantheweddingofthecentury #elissamarks #elissamarksauthor #sadieandsummerbook by @miss.elissa.marks

THE RE-EDUCATION OF QUENTIN WHATEVER Recommended age range: 12+ Content warnings: transphobia, cancer, bullying, off-page violence PURPLE PROSE Age recommendation: 12+ (observing the content warnings) Content warnings: adult language, discussion of reproductive rights, description of an active shooter situation (no shooter is seen directly, poem describes the immediate area outside of the scene of a shooting), mild discussion of childhood illness/medical procedures, non-graphic descriptions of dead animals. - #writer #writersofinstagram #writercommunity #writing #writingcommunity #writerssupportingwriters #selfpublished #indieauthor #queerbooks #selfpublishedauthor #elissamarksauthor #bookstagram #queerbookstagram #author #queerbooksofinstagram #onascalefrom1to10 #onascalefrom1to10book #onascalefrom1to10novel #thereeducationofquentinwhatever #quentinwhatever #purpleprose #purpleproseanthology#sadieandsummerplantheweddingofthecentury #sadieandsummerbook #sapphicromance #sapphicbooks #transbooks #queerpoetry #wlwromance #poetry by @miss.elissa.marks

In case you were wondering what I’ve been up to lately… wonder no more! My play “I AM NOT WRITING A ROM-COM” is available to read in its entirety on New Play Exchange! That link is in my bio. Stay tuned for if (and hopefully when) I have more news about it! 💖🌹✍️ by @miss.elissa.marks
Being a self-published author (not to mention a full-time student) isn’t easy, but it’s stuff like this that makes it all worth it. I know it’s past Halloween now, but I maintain that YHMAH can be enjoyed at any time of year. It and all of my other works are available from the link in my bio and at select Oklahoma bookstores (link also in my bio). by @miss.elissa.marks
