Approximately 59% of bachelor's degrees in biological sciences were earned by women; only 4.2% of those women were black. The question isn't who is going to let me, it's who will stop me!
I will be graduating from Georgia Southern University with my 2nd Bachelor’s degree on December 16, 2023 in Medical Laboratory Science to pursue my career as a Scientist to help our community and my loved ones.
There were so many tears poured into this degree. I am so grateful to finally be at the finish line. I'm doing this for all of the little black girls who were told that they would never be nothing!

Don't play with me!!💁🏾‍♀️ Another degree hotter🔥

Never give up on your dreams!🙏🏾👩🏽‍🔬🧪🧫

Kyra Vaughan, BS in Biology, BSMLS 💐😘

May 2020, I graduated from THEE Savannah State University with my Bachelor of Science in Biology. During my time of graduating that year, COVID-19 hit tremendously and I was physically unable to cross the stage but earned and received my degree in the mail. I was sad but God had other plans in store for me. 🙏🏾

On December 16, 2023, I walked across the stage with my 2nd degree in Medical Laboratory Science.

Mission complete 🥳

Ms. 2 Degree ✅ 🎓🥳
