20 photos and a paragraph could never explain the beauty and ethereal magic of @burningman . The size and scale of everything out there, designed to exist for other people’s happiness and joy, is so mind blowing that you can only see it yourself to understand. Yes, it’s very fucking hard with the wind, dust, rain and mud. But the bigger the adversary, the greater the payoff. Beyond grateful for the opportunity to finally experience it 💜 (I mean two separate, handmade carousels to ride on???! This place maaaaan…)

Why this weekend was so special
•It was a culmination of learning about the game in endless pubs with foreign lads in many countries during my backpacking years.
•Had a dream come true of attending a game after two surreal World Cup experiences: being the only American in a pub of 200 in 2010 where America and England drew while living in Surfers Paradise, Australia, and living in Costa Rica in 2014 when they made it to the top 8 and the whole, tiny country was ferociously alive and celebrating.
•4 goals for the United States opening weekend within the first 30 seconds into the game.
•My childhood bestie being one block away during Brazil vs Morocco.
•Front and center seats supporting Egypt and while Neil and I are not Egyptian, I did live there for a month and my fav tattoo is my Arabic that says female gypsy أنثى بدوية
•The street celebrations with people from all over the world engaging in pure joy.
•And this entire weekend happening because my baby bro picked me to share this experience with. Thank you @notacontractor this weekend lives on as a core memory, I am forever grateful 🇺🇸🇧🇷🇲🇦🇪🇬🇧🇪🌭💕😎🫶🏼 taken in World Cup 2026 by @miss7continents
