I had the honor of visiting the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburgh, where they have an exhibit set up to film your own “screen test” in a room replicant to his Silver Factory.

Andy Warhol’s “Screen Tests” began in the 1960s at The Factory, where he invited artists, musicians, actors, socialites, friends, and complete unknowns to sit in front of a camera for a few quiet minutes. Over time, the films became an incredible time capsule of the people orbiting Warhol’s world. (Insert his work with the Velvet Underground and their multimedia art installation “The Exploding Plastic Inevitable” - look this up if you don’t know it .. I didn’t.)

His life began with immigrant parents, his mother was his greatest asset enrolling him in free art classes through the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh. You can see her creativity through a lot of his early works - the script is her handwriting.

I could say so much more, this museum inspired me so.

okay, I’ll play. 2016 - still in Kentucky, working for the bluegrass museum & romp fest ( i think we had 4 full time staff members at the time), rocking a hard side part always. Life was cute, but I have to say, it’s just gotten sweeter. 💕 by @miss___katie

The trip of a lifetime ✨ Rome - Vienna - Munich - Zurich - Torino.

Spending Christmas overseas had so many beautiful moments, the idea of experience vs material feels more my speed as I get older. I feel so grateful to have had my mom and Russ over to Vienna this year as well. Oh and the 💍 was a sweet addition ♥️🥰

We were lucky to participate in the Jubilee Year at the Vatican, making a pilgrimage through the Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica, among so many unforgettable moments over the past 17 days.

I also felt close to my late father in Germany where I’ve found many of our family records in Munich / Bavaria area. Christmas was always his favorite Holiday, so when the hotel concierge recognized my german last name - his last name - I couldn’t help but smile.

And to all the beautiful people we met along the way, thank you for the friendship we instantly created. Humans really are amazing when we treat each other with mutual kindness ♥️

Nov 25 ✨settling into the transitioning season with a full heart from candlelit dinner conversations, hours long hot tub heart to hearts, and soups that feed the soul.

Grateful to have spent the time with sweet friends, traveling to London, seeing my family in North Carolina, and some much needed weekends at home. by @miss___katie
