Let your light shine ✨

I always thought my dad had the prettiest handwriting, and I’ve always wanted a tattoo to honor him. What better way than carrying his beautiful writing with me forever: “Let your light shine.”

Thank you, Dad, for always being my biggest supporter and always standing by my side. I love you more than I can put into words and am truly honored to be your daughter.

One year ago today, I closed a chapter after my double mastectomy and stepped into a life that would never look quite the same, but somehow became even more meaningful.

This last year has taught me so much.
To slow down.
To listen to my body.
To let go of what doesn’t matter.
To lean on the people who show up.
To find strength I didn’t know I had.

It’s been a year of healing, physically, emotionally, and mentally. A year of hard days, but also so much gratitude. A year of learning that life is both fragile and incredibly beautiful at the same time.

Grateful to be here. Grateful to be healing.
And most of all, grateful to say I am one year cancer free 🤍 by @miss__jp

One year ago today, my world shifted with a diagnosis I never truly thought would happen. It’s been the hardest year of my life, but also one that’s shown me resilience, strength, and what truly matters. Forever grateful for people who helped me throughout it all. 🤍 by @miss__jp

2025 asked everything of me. Cancer, surgeries, healing — physically and emotionally. It was one of the hardest chapters of my life, but it showed me just how strong I am and how deeply loved I am.
To the people who showed up, checked in, took care of me, and helped me up when I couldn’t do it myself — thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Somewhere in the middle of it all, I found a stray cat, and somehow he found me too. His wild ways, comfort, warmth, and presence healed parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing.
I survived. I grew. I’m still standing.
And boy am I ready for 2026!!! Shoutout to @bridget for reminding us to check our 🍒, it could have been a very different outcome for me. To the doctors who gave me my body, my confidence, and my future back — especially @dinomaglicmd — thank you for your skill, care, and compassion through every step of this journey. As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on how full circle life can be. I lost my mom to breast cancer in 2008, the hardest heartbreak I’ve ever known. This year, I faced my own diagnosis. But because of her, I was prepared. Because of her, I stayed on top of my screenings. And because of her, my cancer was caught early. She may not be here in person, but she continues to guide me, still protecting me, still saving me. Her story became my warning, and her strength helped me break the chain.

Early detection truly matters.
