POSTS STORIES REELS

So I went from designing and decorating in a completely stocked cookie decorating store. To decorating in an apartment!

What did I keep? What did I prioritize? Check out my latest blog post to see what I kept and what I regret not keeping.

I’m in such a good space now. I no longer have the daily worries of running a small business. Please support all of your local small businesses at the moment particularly with the current government disregard for what small business has to offer. They all need to know you need them!

On another note, I’ve obtained my VIT registration, just finished my first aid course and I’m ready to start teaching! If your school is looking for a CRT please let me know.

But I’m planning a few new online classes and blog posts so please stay tuned if you are interested.

Hope you are all amazing. I really miss all of our regulars! And you know who you are! Please remember I am thinking about you and it wasn’t an easy decision.

Comment ‘JULIA’ and iMll send you the link to my interview with Julia Day of Miss Biscuit.

When Julia announced the closure of @miss_biscuit_ , I, like everyone else, was sad. An institution in the cake industry was closing.

But what happened next both captivated and inspired me to ask Julia for an interview.

What followed the closure announcement did not look like a business fading away. It looked like the full weight of what Julia had built over 14 years becoming visible all at once. Customers filled her final classes, joined enormous waitlists and cleared out the store. Yet Julia never interpreted their response as a reason to reverse her decision.

I came to think of it as one of the greatest business exits I had ever witnessed.

How do you walk away from something that is still profitable, deeply loved and capable of continuing? And can choosing to end it, on your own terms, be its own measure of success?

If you needed to watch an interview, let it be this one.

Thank you to every student who walked through my doors, joined me online or trusted me to be a part of your baking journey. I’ll always be grateful.
