Story time ✨ My first burlesque solo, 2 years ago!

It took me 2 years to wanna look back and watch videos of my first solo because I wasn’t happy with it at all 🫣

Royal Tease was my second show producing with @caitlinlitz for @dlsburlesque at Harvelle’s LB. It was VERY stressful having to direct TWO C8 acts a full show and my first solo… I had no feedback and no solo rehearsals. Everything went by so quickly.

I was throwing up backstage (what’s new 😆) and I did not feel ready to debut a solo even though my music and costume were awesome.

All in all, I was “traumatized” and never wanted to do a solo ever again! Aside from Kinky Kelly 🫏 but I had my lil bro @cj_cummingss with me so it wasn’t as stressful.

It also made me realize that I didn’t want any C8 soloists to go through such a stressful process like mine. So we’ve created a system to help soloists by developing workshops, formulas and solo rehearsals along with private sessions.

It’s gonna be 3 years this December since @c8dynastydance started our burlesque journey and let me just say that it’s been an incredible ride. So many fabulous soloists have come from our company and we’ve all learned so much together.

NOW after producing 100+ shows, learning from others and teaching workshops I feel SUPER amped and ready to take the stage as Divina DeVida with 6 new solos coming up this October, November and December!

I want to thank everyone who has trusted me to help them create their magic ✨ I’ve seen the growth and it’s incredible!

“I’m still standing better than I ever been.”

P.S I’m bringing back this solo to redeem myself because this solo concept was too good just to do once as a beginner 😉

Celebrating 42 was pretty amazing ✨

I cried happy tears while no one was watching… okay maybe @no_he_mi & @saul_h spotted me but I just felt overwhelmed by the love everyone showed me in person and through messages!

I honestly didn’t think I was gonna have so much fun in the heat but we made it happen.

A nice day at the park, ending with a calm gathering at Trader Sam’s with live music. It was relaxing and so magical ✨

THANK YOU Nohe, John, Cari, Charlie, Evita, Emily, Mel, Saul, Johnny, Maralou, Jeremy, Bri, Joanne, Jenny, Nicole, Tiff, Crystal and Ethan 💕

What a perfect day with the perfect Disney crew!
