I havenโ€™t posted many pictures of my Momma. Seeing her face brings up so much love, but it also makes me miss her in a way that aches. I know these are pictures of my Momma, but looking at them and knowing I canโ€™t call her or hear her voice is incredibly difficult.

Some nights I stay up all night thinking about her, wishing I could hear her say, โ€œHey, sweetheart.โ€ Other days, I miss her so much that getting out of bed feels hard.

Looking through these pictures reminds me that she was there with me every step of my life. Iโ€™m grateful for these memories, even when theyโ€™re difficult to look at. I miss her voice, her love, and having her by my side. โค๏ธ by @miss_kmg

Iโ€™m still trying to find the words for tonight. I was so grateful to be invited to the game, but I never expected to be surprised like this. Seeing Gabe wearing my name on his jersey for the Pink Out game, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, completely caught me off guard. I was sitting in the stands crying my eyes outโ€”so overwhelmed, so proud, and so thankful. I was just happy to get out the house!

Gabe, you have no idea how much this means to me. I love you so much, I am so proud of you, and Iโ€™ll always cherish this moment. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿˆ #PinkOut #BreastCancerAwareness #celinabobcats taken in Celina, Texas by @miss_kmg

The Sacred Exchange

We knew the cold vocabulary of the sterile rooms, the heavy quiet waiting for the doctor's step,
the sharp, fluorescent lights of the morning surgeries.

Two women, one blood, walking the exact same valley, holding identical fears in the palms of our hands.

But the doorways we walked through led to different shores. My path brought me back to the light of survival, while yours wound gently toward the golden dusk.

Six months have passed since you left this earth, Mama, and the silence you left behind still echoes in every room.

You always told me that I was s strong one,
but I watched you fight with a fire that left me breathless. I watched you meet every diagnostic storm with an unyielding fierceness,
refusing to let the illness dim the deep, protective well of your love.

Through every heavy treatment, through every painful dawn, you poured out comfort even as your own body grew weary.

Your courage wasn't just in the fighting, Momma; it was in your grace.

A beautiful, quiet dignity that you held onto all the way to the very end.

You thought you were leaning on me in those final hours, but it was your majestic spirit, soft and unbroken, that carried us both. And there is a holy rhythm that death cannot break,
a sacred symmetry that time will never erase:

You were there to watch me take my very first breath, and I was there, holding your hand, to witness your last.

To stand at the gates of your passing,
to love you all the way to the edge of the absolute quiet, is an honor I will carry proudly for the rest of my days.

Momma I miss you, I love you, and with every breath I have left, I will live fiercely and beautifully for the both of us. taken in Prosper, Texas by @miss_kmg

You see me smiling and me dolled up with my man! But what you don't see is behind this smile is a broken hearted daughter trying to find myself in a world without the safest person I knew. What you don't see is some days I can't make it out of bed because the realization that the person that loved me more than anyone else in this world is no longer here and that can be too much to bare getting up This man has held me in ways I never thought I could be held. Physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, financially, and just together! He can't replace my mother! But he is helping me heal the woman that has to learn to be the little girl that can't have her momma anymore and that takes a special kind of love. Have you ever walked off from your child or had your parent walk away from you in a store and you have that split second of terror that you lost them? That is how it feel every day waking up without my mother. I miss her so much! SO I am soooooo thankful God placed the right kind of person to love me through this pain. โค๏ธ by @miss_kmg

Today was a difficult day for me! I stayed up all night. Cried all day and still in my feelings. It feels like I was just picking up her Kindergarten packet! Now my girl is all grown up in her last year of High School! I am so excited for her Senior year but dang this went by fast. I love that at her school the seniors use a book bag they would have used in Kindergarten for their Senior year. Imma need donations of tissues this year! taken in Prosper, Texas by @miss_kmg
