Anyone who knows me can guess why I really enjoyed creating this Apache combat piece! 🚁😅

Half healed half fresh. Done over 2 sessions, 9 hrs total. First half guesting at @paintedhorsetattoo and second half guesting at @ink_crown

I am delighted to announce that my Archibald Prize entry of @otishopecarey has been selected for the Archibald Salon des Refusés 2023 exhibition at @shervingallery ✨

It took me two decades to build up the courage to enter, and I feel incredibly honoured to be included amongst so many talented artists, especially with a tattoo portrait.

An abundance of gratitude to everyone who supported me in this endeavour, especially to @lovethybarber2016 @peggy_zephyr @tysonw_hoffman and Jason Tozer 🙏

And of course, absolute appreciation to the much revered Otis for agreeing to be my sitter and finding time for my project.

Ever since I've known him, Otis has been an absolute inspiration to me not only creatively, but for his character. The integrity and kindness he shows others is something I've endeavoured for ever since. It's an honour to paint someone who not only has such abundant achievements, but is also a wonderful human. by @miss_knees

It's taken me well over a month to process that this even happened, but seeing all the footage of #fotc killing it on tour this week gave me all the fomo I needed ⚡

They say don't meet your heroes - just get them tattooed all over you instead 😅👍🏻

I was recently insanely lucky enough to do both anyway when I went to see @bretrospective put on his amazing show at the Tivoli earlier this year.

Anyone who knows me knows how much of a fan of @flightoftheconchords I am, but only a few know just how much joy they have brought into my life, regardless of the dark challenges that the world tends to throw your way.

Big thanks to Bret for being such a wonderful human, even when faced with some crazy Mel like fans 😅

And also massive appreciation to @rbtattooer for creating a masterpiece for my #fotc sleeve.

I have sooo many things to be grateful for from 2025.

Firstly, I've absolutely cherished this second year in my little dreamy and peaceful studio (thank you @customhoney_ for keeping that dream alive and thriving) but am also very thankful to the absolute talented legends at both @paintedhorsetattoo and @glasshousetattoo for giving me an inspiring home away from home to escape to every now and then.

Secondly, BIG thank you to my clients for keeping me busy at work all year, with such fun projects, but most importantly for sharing your time with me. I genuinely loved hanging out with all of you this year. You're all wonderful people and I hope 2026 brings you nothing but joy and abundance because you all deserve it 🫶🏻

Thirdly, thank you to all my friends and loved ones for supporting me through my health issues this year.

2025 wasn't easy, sometimes it was heartbreaking, sometimes it felt like it was never going to end.

But it changed me in ways that I am so grateful for, and I feel like I have so many things to be enthusiastic about in 2026. That in itself is the biggest blessing.

I hope everyone finds nothing but endless abundance and enthusiasm in their lives for 2026 ✨
