Our favorite BSB @jaimifaulkner performed at the lovely @rosendahlkaffee in Ratingen yesterday so of course a roadtrip was in order! Frontrow seats are always fun at his shows, the joy on stage is infectious and the crowd could feel it too.♥️ We took some coffee to go, already looking forward to the next one! It’s here! Half of it, an album full of hauntingly beautiful songs about heartbreak and hope💔♥️released by the amazing Mr Faulkner.
I’ve shed some tears listening to these songs and I am sure you will too, but it will heal your heart right after, I promise ♥️

Finished this book, the audio version narrated by Mr Renner himself. What an amazing story put to paper/recorded. The emotions shown while reading his words out loud where so palpable, the ‘Lean on me’ sung to him while in a coma after the incident, the accident ofcourse, with live footage from the 911 dispatch and the dentist visit, true stuff for nightmares, the love in Barb’s hug ‘It wasn’t your time’. But also the laughs, the escape from the hospital and sharing your first photo without thinking twice. All so very human & powerful❤️Do yourself a favor and listen to the audio version!

Wat een feest is het toch altijd met deze lieve groep mensen! Ons Tommy Team, al 11jr geleden werden we bij elkaar gezet, verschillend van karakter maar samen klopt het en ook al missen we er al een tijdje 1, we zijn hecht en het is altijd alsof het gisteren was dat we elkaar voor het laatst zagen en we komen altijd tijd tekort 😅 Dit keer (gisteren)was het een toffe excercise bij @escapehaarlem gevolgd door koffie & taart bij @meneerfrans en heerlijk borrelen bij @dedakkas ♥️

Ik vind het zo ontzettend bijzonder dat we in een land leven waar iemand zelf de regie van het einde in handen mag nemen.

Iedereen heeft zijn eigen mening over het onderwerp euthanasie en dat mag, sommigen zullen zeggen dat het niet ethisch is of de makkelijke uitweg.

Maar dat laatste is het zeer zeker niet, de kracht die daarbij komt kijken is buitengewoon.
De beslissing om afscheid te nemen van alles wat je lief hebt om jezelf maar ook iedereen om je heen erger te besparen is hartverscheurend, maar die pijn accepteren om ergere pijn te voorkomen is dapper.

Het te ervaren van dichterbij is gek, pijnlijk verdrietig, maar bovenal dapper, mooi & liefdevol.

Dag lieve gekke eigenwijze, maar bovenal dappere tante, ik hou van je en het is goed zo.
Geef ze daarboven een dikke knuffel, lach lekker veel en hard en wees trots op wat je hier beneden ziet♥️ by @missb_1308

Hoe leuk kan het zijn…
Lieve Nadeche van @bakingtime.nl had nog een plekje over voor de royal icing workshop gisteravond. Om 19uur gezien, 10min later besloten, geboekt en op weg, nog 15min erbij en ik had mn schort om en mn muts op! Last Friday I finally got to scratch something off my bucketlist as I got to see Coby Grant live, together with one of my favourite people, Jaimi Faulkner! Wassenberg was the stage and it was a magical night, beautiful songs, performed by the sweetest and talented artists and a crowd so quiet you could hear the birds in between the songs. Staying the night at a mini castle made it a perfect weekend!
Summer roadtrip with @anneverhoef in the pocket, a tradition we’ll keep alive!

Wat een trip down memory lane… van het kleine podium at the back, de catwalk (criminal), de intieme setting van de pepsi stage tot de lichtshow van rain down on me op het almeerder strand, het was er allemaal en meer. Maar het meest memorabele was de uitvoering van Scream… zo treffend💔 Thanks for the memories @kaneofficial.nl , let’s make some more!♥️ enneh dat Kane plein .. sounds good! taken in Ziggo Dome by @missb_1308

3/3 The era of our conscious
Having seen most images, unable to look away but even I don’t register it all. That became clear when @ramseynasr stood up on stage and read his thoughts on photography, war journalism and described an image we have all seen and which is one of the photo’s highlighted by World Press Photo, the woman holding her niece in a sheet after being killed.
He described her blue dress, the yellow scarf, the blue of the bodybag peeping out from under the sheet, her crouched position and that her hand was all you can see. It made me see the image for real for the first time, although I’ve seen it many times before.

Social media is showing it all, but we need to see it, it’s the era of our conscious and we are failing.

Thank you @worldpressphoto for providing the stage, Hasna, Felipe and Rena for the questions asked and the stories told. But most of all thank you Motaz Azaiza for being the voice, eyes and conscious, while it goes against everything you would like to do but doing it anyway.
I hope the world will act soon and genocide will end so you can start to heal, if that is even possible. ♥️💔 taken in De Nieuwe Kerk by @missb_1308
