@igrannapp from @ahdora.speaks: If you want to create some really brilliant work, you have to eliminate your title. Titles are like Prison - they box us into believing that we are only meant to take on the responsibilities that are tied to the title that we have either assumed or been assigned. Hence, the CEO that can tell great stories for others on social media, doesnt believe they should be doing it because it's "beneath" them. The Business manager that is amazing at Graphic design doesnt do it because it's not their job. The Entrepreneur that wants to do music, doesnt do it because they're the "Business guy". .

If you want to Be and Do all that you can. ELIMINATE TITLES. Once you do this, you will realize that you are an unstoppable force. by @missbrillzvile

Pls excuse the misrepresentation of the pronoun *she* instead of *he & his*. This is an insightful piece @Regrann from @lifeofstormz: FOR WOMEN!

As a journalist, I have a duty to speak to people of diverse culture, origin, language and tribe both men and women everyday.

One of the key focus of Premium Times newspaper is that reporters should be gender sensitive and ensure gender balance in every report.

Personally I took it upon myself consciously to see this to fruition but I have met challenges each passing day especially from the female folk. "I don't think my husband will be happy if she sees me on video in the news", a woman selling food opposite customs office in Abuja told me on Tuesday when I sort her opinion on a new law proposed by the government to increase tax rates on alcohol and cigerattes.

Why would her husband not be happy to see her wife give her take on an issue of national importance, I thought.

No, I don't think women should only be seeing and not heard!

Sadly we still live in a world where women is still made to think that the only thing they can offer is a pretty face and a fine body.

Women should be allowed to explore the world! Their voices and opinions should count.

Women should not be under any form of pressure at any point of their life to get married, if it happens, it happens.

Women should be more ambitious, courageous and never settle for less.

Women should be respected!

But mostly women should respect themselves... Stop being too dependent.

@Regrann from @kaffydance: Had this conversation with a very talented dancer and I realized I should share the same thoughts here as many young people are battling the same thing . PRESSURE TO EXCEL NOWWWW!!!
This situation is very bad and is making a lot of our youths depressed. Depression is real and it’s a killer . Builds negative thoughts and grows a dark cloud over the person.
So here is what I said to the person and I hope it helps in a way.

I just feel u let ur unhappiness take over too much it shows in ur countenance and makes u appear sad almost all d time . U pressure yourself too much . U expect better of ur self in life but u not given ur self a chance to breathe and appreciate every little change that comes ur way. U don’t even need a change To be happy . U just need to find a space of constant glee. A corner somewhere in ur head and in ur heart that no man can touch that no situation can alter. It might be a small space but it’s a sure space . It protects U from d shock of whatever life shoots ur way and enables u to see a brighter tomoro. I don’t like the constant cloud of gloom u carry . I care about u. And I believe u have much to offer but sometimes the greatest way to find our selves is not always to expect too much but allow things fall in place one piece at a time . Being a boss over ur problems sometimes requires u to learn and absorb rather try to figure it out by yourself alone . Be inspired . Read books , depressurize urself have fun . Do a job without wondering why u not the Ceo, dance without wondering why u not the. Choreographer, Choreograph without wondering why you are not the artiste ,serve without wondering why you are not the leader. Because doing any of these well with all ur heart and excelling in them is what helps clear ur path of discovery . So wherever u are and whatever u are doing right now just do it well and it will make things better for u trust me . I did it and I still do it .whatevee am doing right now will lead me to where I want to be .
