Gals (and I guess guys, too),
I got this book on whim because I thought it looked pretty. Turns out, it was exactly what my heart needed.
My value is not in what I can do or what people think about me or if anyone will ever love me. My value is in Christ and what He says about me. About who He created me to be. I've been on a journey to learn this for many years, but this last year I've learned so much about who He intends me to be.
Through my studies of Scripture and books like this one I am learning more about who God is and thus learning more about myself in the process. Thankfully, "He's still working on me, to make me what I ought to be." Thankfully He is doing the work, because I keep messing up.

Some of the things I'm learning about myself (not exhaustive and some is not new info):
I love to sing. The Lord is giving me the opportunity to do so. It brings me such joy.
I love to paint and create art and I love to teach it to other people - who are willing to learn right alongside me.
I'm a teacher- through and through- being back in the classroom this year, though very difficult, has been so fulfilling and rewarding. Getting to teach art is just a huge plus.
I'm a coach- while I'll never coach in the big leagues- guiding and encouraging kids is my jam. I love sports. There are so many things to be learned and those lessons last a lifetime.
My list could go on, but I'm just sitting here amazed at what the Lord has allowed me to be a part of in my 42 years. Sometimes I still get stuck on the "what am I missing out on", but then I read things like this book and Psalm 18 and remember what a good God we have and know that I am loved and an amazed that He uses me.

Today's spring break adventures!
Painting with Mrs. Billie this morning. Visiting my favorite @honey_ginn and seeing her beautiful flowers. Then my girl @kare44 made me look pretty! It's been a long time since my last cut! Now, I'm taking dad out for dinner.

Since I know you are all dying to know what I'm doing... 🤣 lol
Day 1 Spring Break Adventure in #memphis
1. Go check out #primasbakeryandboutique ✔ such a great little shop and my macarons and coconut cake cake pop were 🔥
2. #milliesflowertruck and eat at #globalcafememphis - but they were closed on Mondays.
So I ended up at #frostbakeshop to buy my green dessert for ToGather tonight and then since I didn't get Global, I got the next best thing- tacos b/c #tacosarelife🌮
#torchystacos - the trailer park and trashy chick are my faves!
Now for #coffee and then home taken in Primas Bakery and Boutique by @misscoachmo

Took a little jaunt around town. Literally. Lol. 3 miles. Go me.
I love walking this time of year. Still cool. Music. The sun started shining. Things growing. It's great. I also just love this little town.
