A HUGE thank you to Hays @juststitchinandmore for the most perfect Miss America care package for me and my roomie, Evelyn! From the adorable Case Mate bag to the beautiful embroidered pajamas and embroidered “DREAM BIG” pillow case, this gift will be something we both will cherish and use throughout our year of service. En route to Miss America ☀️

Sitting down to write this feels almost impossible to put into words. For so many years, I dreamed of this moment, prayed for it, worked toward it, and wondered what it would feel like when it finally arrived. And now, it’s here.

For the next ten days, I have the incredible honor of representing my home, the Sunshine State, on the Miss America stage, a dream I have carried with me for much of my life.

I grew up in this organization, and in so many ways, I grew up because of it. It taught me what it means to lead with purpose, to use my voice to make an impact, to serve with my whole heart, and to believe that the dreams we carry as little girls can become the opportunities we live as women. I can undoubtedly say I would not be the woman I am today without the experiences, lessons, and people this organization has placed in my life.

There is something incredibly special about stepping into this moment not only for myself, but for the state that raised me and the organization that helped shape me.

Florida, what an honor this is. Miss America, I’m on my way to experience the magic of competing in this special organization one final time.

Ready to represent the state and the organization I will always love. ❤️

XO,
Alexandra de Roos - Miss Florida

P.S. It wouldn’t be the perfect Florida departure if it didn’t include an alligator 🐊 (swipe for a surprise)
