Dance is art but dancers are athletes. 💪

On National Women’s Health & Fitness Day, we’re celebrating movement, strength, and everything our bodies allow us to DO.

Jump higher. Turn stronger. Move freely. Create. Perform. And yes, rest when we need it.

At Mission, we want our dancers to grow up knowing that being strong isn’t about how your body looks. It’s about caring for it, fueling it, challenging it, and appreciating everything it does for you.

Strong bodies. Strong minds. Strong dancers. 🖤

A day in the life but make it MISS ALEXA. 💅🔥

Big energy. Bigger personality. A little sass. A LOT of iconic. And somehow, she still finds time to teach. 😂

We’re tagging along from start to finish to see what a full day looks like with the one and only, Miss Alexa!

Buckle up. This one’s gonna be fun. 💃✨

You know the moves. You know the style. But do you know the man behind them?🎩👀

We’re kicking off our Dance History series with one of the most influential names in jazz dance: Bob Fosse.

Turned-in knees, rolled shoulders, isolations, jazz hands, bowler hats. His unmistakable style changed dance forever.

Swipe ➡️ for a little Fosse 101.

Happy National Dance Day. 🖤

For the hours in the studio. The friendships that become family. The confidence built one class at a time. The hard days, the breakthroughs, the performances, the memories and all the little moments in between.

Dance gives us so much more than steps.

It’s an art form. A way to create, express, and tell a story without ever saying a word. It’s movement for your body and an outlet for your mind.

Dance can help reduce stress, support emotional well-being, build confidence, encourage creativity, and create a sense of connection and belonging. And those are things we’re lucky enough to witness in our studios every single day.

We see dancers find their people. Work through hard things. Express emotions they may not have words for. Discover what they’re capable of. And experience the pure JOY of moving to music.

Yes, we teach steps. We teach technique. We train dancers.

But dance is so much bigger than that.

Today we celebrate the art form that brought all of us together and everything it continues to give us. ✨

Here’s to getting to do what we love, with people we love.

Happy National Dance Day from Mission. 🖤

A little look at our first week back. 🖤

New classes, new faces, lots of reunions, a few sore muscles and SO much dancing.

The first-week nerves are gone, everyone’s finding their groove, and we have a feeling this is going to be a pretty special year.

Week one ✔️
Let’s go!
