From the Mission District to the pages of the LA Times! 🥹❤️

I couldn’t be prouder of our Mission Lotería team and everything we’ve accomplished together. What started as a passion for celebrating our neighborhood, its culture, and its small businesses has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.

Seeing our new storefront receive statewide and national media attention is such a proud moment, not just for us, but for the artists, entrepreneurs, and community members who have helped bring this vision to life.

One important distinction worth sharing: While this article highlights the incredible work of Latino-led nonprofits, Mission Lotería itself is not a nonprofit. We’re a community-driven business with a mission to champion our neighborhood, uplift local entrepreneurs, and create opportunities for our community to thrive. We believe businesses can be powerful forces for positive change, too.

I’m especially grateful for our hardworking team, who continue to pour so much heart, creativity, and energy into building this space and everything it represents.

There’s still so much work ahead, so many stories to tell, and so many ideas we can’t wait to bring to life.

We’re only just getting started. ❤️‍🔥

A huge thank you to Terry, the Associated Press and Los Angeles Times for sharing our story, and to everyone who continues to believe in what we’re building.

¡Arriba la Misión! 🌹
