I saw this little, heavy, cast? metal spoon of a potter throwing on the wheel in the tool box one of my sculpture students during class today. I love it so much, it's wonderful! She can't remember how she came to have it or for how long (a long time) but it's one of her treasures. Wish it were mine ☺️
Perhaps someone who knows more of the history of CSG (Ceramic Study Group) will know how this fab little spoon came into being and let me know?

Out of a storage box today. I had forgotten about 'Goddess' 2001. Slab built, pit fired, white raku. It's one of my first ever ceramic pieces

Brings back wonderful memories of my CertIV studies, creative endeavours, and friends made and kept over all these years by @missjac.x18

Celebrating a friend, I met this beautiful piece of stone today and the salient poem inscribed upon it...

Everything except language
knows the meaning of existence.
Trees, planets, rivers, time
know nothing else. They express it
moment by moment as the universe.

Even this fool of a body
lives it in part, and would
have full dignity within it
but for the ignorant freedom
of my talking mind

Reflecting quietly on an inspiring weekend workshop at national art school @nas_au with artist Armando Chant @armando_chant - Drawing with textile and thread
Totally immersed in experimentation and play is my happy place, one of them anyway.
The fabric works (in progress) are documentation of my weekend. The women's cell block at NAS dates back to the 1840's, I can only imagine the horrible conditions and was moved to create these pieces. Not sure where all of this is going however, looking forward to bringing my love of textiles into my work somehow by @missjac.x18

This is an artist proof from today's adventures in printmaking. A few adjustments required (might even start again) because you always realise how you could have done it differently once it's done . There's no going back with aluminium etching. Love the fluffy assistant but! by @missjac.x18
