NO NAME GIVEN is coming to @clubmakossa on the 19th of November, first time we’ve had a home outside radio. 🥹 with a fully FLINTA* lineup, you’ll be hearing the sounds of grime, bass and jungle, the same mission just IRRRRLLL.

@missjasdj - ten years obsessed with this music, one year behind the decks, jas’ sound is heavy and deliberate: UK garage, grime, bassline, the stuff that still carries pirate radio energy. jas feels heavy bass dance music often gets written off as “too much” but it’s the backbone dance music forgot it came from, and that’s the lineage she’s here to represent.

@nk__47__ - NK47 is a multi-genre DJ, playing high-octane club music driven by heavy basslines, high energy rhythms and global club sounds. Rooted in London music culture, her sets pull from grime, UK bass, 140, dubstep and jungle, alongside global sounds, with South Asian and Arab influences woven throughout. Expect a set that celebrates grime old and new, with bass that’ll make your speakers blow offfff!!!

@majadarlington - MAJA is a London-based DJ, vocalist and radio host. Describing jungle as her soul music, you can expect a lovingly curated mix of old school to new, from joyful to dark to sexy tracks, with sprinkles of drum and bass, footwork for good measure.

@tiatalks.tv - fiiiiiiyahhhh grime MC holding down the mic and the energy for No Name Given. On the circuit, mostly recently shelling down Steeze Factory and Mode London. Trust Tia to keep the room locked in with her bars.

introducing NO NAME GIVEN. ⭐❤️

This is my new show dedicated to FLINTA*
voices in grime, bass and jungle. the name comes from the woman whose voice is all over one of grime’s most iconic riddims, Rhythm & Gash by Rebound X, and to this day nobody knows who she is !!!!! literallly no name given. that anonymity isn’t accidental, and this show exists to push back against it.

today is the first ever NO NAME GIVEN on @brixtonradiolive 2pm to 4pm. we’re starting in the grime and bass world into deep dubstep and building all the way out into jungle territory, anchored throughout by FLINTA* selectors, producers and MCs who don’t get nearly enough recognition.

also super excited to be playing the new @girlsdontsync release U Wanna Party? in the opening run. GDS gave away community tickets to the Toolroom DJ and Producer Summit recently and i was lucky enough to get one, it was such an incredible day and @gaia_ia has been so supportive since, it genuinely means soooo much. been a big GDS fan for a while so the whole thing still feels surreal! 🥹

SO WHAT IS NO NAME GIVEN?

before there was the event on the 19th, there was a one off radio show, and before the radio show there was just us (and many others im sure) being annoyed that none of us know who the vocalist on Rhythm & Gash by Rebound X is.

a few weeks ago @babycru.system invited us on @moderadio.london to discuss why No Name Given exists and what we actually want the night to represent. We are trying to do our part to achieve more gender equity in the dance music scene by spotlighting FLINTA* excellence, specifically across grime bass dubstep and jungle 💖

we’d love you to be with us on the 19th November at @clubmakossa to celebrate what excellence women and gender diverse people can bring to the dance. and like @mariafitzz_ says, we just know they’ll smash it. OBVIOUSLY. ✨✨✨ free tickets available through RA, link in bio.

Nisa (nk47) applies the same
detailed approach to her mixing. A true multi-genre queen, she describes her sound as experimental, drawing influences from London bass, global rhythms, and south Asian and Arab sounds.

miss jas

miss jas describes herself as a dedicated fan of the underground scene, who never imagined her place to be behind the decks. After coming up through a workshop scheme at Voices, she is now an experienced selector.
