During Kambarang (spring), a splash of colour returns to our parks and reserves as the stunning rainbow bee-eaters migrate from northern Australasia to raise their young in our sandy soils.

FYI, We were far from the birds. We didn’t go past the sign. Dogs are allowed off leash in this park except near wildlife. I won’t let Missy hurt any of them.

🇦🇺 🌳 🐍 Spring is here, and so are our slithery neighbours! 🌸☀️ 🌱

As the weather warms up, reptiles begin coming out of brumation, which means it’s time to be extra mindful when exploring the Australian bush. 🌾🐍

Since we love our bush walks with Missy, her safety is always our priority. ❤️🐾 That’s why we decided to take her to a snake avoidance course — to help her learn to recognise and avoid snakes while we enjoy our adventures together.

We love letting Missy explore, sniff, and enjoy the great outdoors, but we also know that being responsible pet parents means taking extra precautions, especially during snake season.

Prevention is better than regret. A little preparation can make a big difference in keeping our precious girl safe! 🩷🐕
