October is OCD Awareness Month. 💙

OCD has always been a huge part of my life. I was diagnosed at age nine, but I began experiencing symptoms as early as four years old. For a long time, OCD was something I felt I needed to hide. But over time, I’ve come to realize that while OCD is a part of my story, it does not define who I am.

Having OCD can be incredibly challenging, but through those challenges, I’ve found strength, resilience, and empathy. My OCD has shaped me in many ways, but it does not take away from who I am. Instead it has given me a voice and helped me to discover strengths I may not have known I had.

If you’re struggling with OCD, I want you to know that you are never alone. You are strong. You are worthy. And you are loved.

This OCD Awareness Month, let’s continue changing the narrative around OCD and spread empathy and compassion for those who are struggling.💗 by @misskenosha

Yesterday I had the honor of joining Every Child’s Place for their annual golf outing. Watching our community come together to support children and families was truly inspiring. Organizations like Every Child’s Place remind us how important it is to create environments where every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to recognize their strengths. This past weekend, I had the honor of being part of the Kenosha Civics Parade. There’s something so special about seeing our community come together and witnessing the smiles on everyone’s faces. My Miss Wisconsin Interview is complete! The whole reason I’m here is to share my story and speak about my initiative, which is changing the narrative of OCD. In the interview I got to do exactly that. Onto the next phase of competition! by @misskenosha

That’s a wrap on day 2! Today was filled with laughs, smiles, and amazing dance moves. We had a delicious lunch at Culver’s ( the best restaurant ), volunteered at a blood drive, and ended the night at kwik trip. I’ve already made so many unforgettable memories and am excited for what’s in store! 🩷 by @misskenosha
