In this episode of my monologues about things that were going well but are slowly being taken away from us,I’m complaining about the nomenclature used by promoters to attract new people to the techno stage.
There is nothing wrong with calling things by its name, it’s not bad to go to a club to dance.
PS party in Berghain is still not a rave.

Another episode where I complain about capitalism and mainstream culture destroying the underground movements of techno in the name of profit.
This time let’s focus on the fast-fashion giants who sell the visual language of the underground techno scene - polyester harnesses, textile vests, chains and all the type of workwear; something which has functional (and often political) origin becomes another textile waste and a dress code more and more popular at the electronic music events of all sizes.
It’s not a new topic when mainstream market looks for trends from subcultures and turns it into a money making machine which at the same time reduces the form of expression of the people whose alternative style is authentic. I understand that lots of young people are still finding themselves and experiment with their style, however, it’s extremely easy to tell who from the people on the dancefloor put these alternatives clothes on only to look cool on social media.
Instead of checking out „look books”, it’s really much easier to put on something you feel good and authentic in. After all - techno „fashion” is mostly functional.
🫡 I can’t even imagine how hot it must be in your faux leather pants in the sweaty club with no air-co.

I still can’t believe that in my first year of sharing my music with the world I can already own a physical copy of it. It’s a big step for me as it shows there are people who believe in me and my work. Thanks a lot for your support, it’s really appreciated as the beginnings ain’t easy :)
