Gratitude 💙.

That is exactly what I am feeling as I have returned home from competition week. Although this door is closing, I know God has another one waiting for me, and I cannot wait to continue stepping into my purpose.

If you didn’t notice, I wore a lot of blue throughout the week. This was strategic for me. The color for foster care and child abuse awareness is blue, and by wearing it, I was reminded that this journey was about much more than me.

As I walked that runway in gown, I held my head high knowing I would be okay no matter what the results were. I had already won. I did something that scared me. I provided representation for others. I used my story to share about child welfare advocacy. I had fun. Most importantly, I did my best. Those were my goals because, no matter what, the work continues ✨

Shoutout to @occasionsbydg for this beautiful gown! From the moment I tried it on, I KNEW it was the one. I felt absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to wear it again 💙

Gwyn Bolte, thank you so much for providing your services and alterations to my competition wardrobe. You truly are a blessing and a life saver!

A Change is Gonna Come. 🎤

I poured my heart and soul into this performance. As someone who typically performs musical theatre, I wanted to show a different, but still authentic, side of me. I am so proud of the performance I gave, and I hope I made yall proud, too.

For the girls with the curves 🩵. Tonight, I conquered a huge fear of mine by walking on a national stage in a swimsuit. Body image is something that I have struggled with for years and led me to vote against competing in swimsuit during my first pageant. However, I have learned to love my body. It allows me to perform. It allows me to hit the pavement and advocate for things I care about. This moment was much more than me walking a runway. This moment was for any person that has struggled to see the beauty in themselves. This moment was for anyone who needed to see representation. This moment was for all of us.
