Simple looking but flavorful Peposo recipe would always have my heart especially during emergency quick recipes for myself or a guest. It looks simple but packs a punch! It’s best to use stewing beef for this recipe and slow cook to release the flavors and juices from the beef.

Would you try this recipe?

I whip out this Vietnamese Pineapple Chicken Sauce recipe whenever I want ease but also to impress. So you could borrow my recipe for a little wonder in your kitchen sometime. The potluckers loved it.😍🙈

I’ve got to say, for a girl who hasn’t stepped out of her apartment in 13 days at the moment of posting this, @thesacircle ‘s potluck event was a pretty good excuse to step out my house — and as a sucker for good food that I am. It was FUN as would be expected of any events Anny @softlife_annytushy organizes. 🤭😍 Thanks to Anny and the full squad (part of whom are tagged)

Would I attend one again? Yapsolutely! 😁🤭
Should you? YASSolutely! 😁🤭🙈

Ps: I know it’s a little ‘gap-y’ with the posting schedule these past weeks but a girl’s been busyyyyyyyy. I will update soon. 😘 by @missnigeria

If you ever wondered why voiceovers and music are the order of the day, this is one of the reasons.

It’s blissful chaos when I’m cooking by myself. I say blissful cos I do enjoy the workings of my big beautiful brain and the clumsiness of my hands 🤭😅 I also don’t like to script my videos because it then becomes mechanical and I love the rawness of things really.

Can you guess what I’m making?

This recipe of ratatouille(pronounced ra-tuh-too-ee) is one of my favorites and for good reason. I’m a hundred percent certain that the little version of Electra that binge watched the ratatouille movie more times than she could count would be so happy.

This is such an easy, quick to make and very tasty completely vegan dish and I hope that you’d not just try it for yourself but share this recipe to loved ones. 😘 🤗

Ps: I kept stressing the ‘l’ in ratatouille as an English speaker would but have fun with both pronunciations. Hehe 😁🏃🏽‍♀️ by @missnigeria

Meet Consty ( @constance.jenewari )—a gorgeous babe, chef-in-training at @reddishchronicles, and one of our very first guests on the brand-new series, A PLATE IN MY HEART.

Today I reserved her a plate in my heart — and it tasted like Ethiopia 🇪🇹

We made Awaze Tibs. It’s a bold, spicy stir-fry traditionally eaten with Injera (a sourdough flatbread). But apart from the fact that dealing with celiac doesn’t leave me many choices, Injera isn’t exactly easy to source where I live! So, we made do with plain white rice which is celiac friendly for the most part.

Share this with someone who has a plate in your heart, and tell them what country’s cuisine their energy reminds you of!
On that note... who gets a plate in my heart next? 👀👇🏽

I’m of the opinion that food is the first medicine—both preventative and curative. It’s a little sad how we have mostly gravitated towards popping supplements every other day like we expect those filler packed starch based films to be the magic elixir for perfect health.

Supplements are great when necessary however simple clear broths like the ABC soup would definitely be a happy treat for your body. Hair, skin, nails, gut— the whole shebang. Better when it’s a tasty broth like this eyy? 😉

And yes the tomatoes are chunk size, you one-size them down but I like to feel my tomatoes alright? 😁 by @missnigeria

Have you ever had Tofu or made it from scratch? Perhaps you’ve had the northern version, Awara?

I’m not certain that I’d like to make tofu from scratch consistently however I really like the nutty flavor and would gladly order it for its high protein goodness.

Fun facts
• It contains all nine essential amino acids needed for human nutrition - ditch the high preservative protein bars!
• Legend claims it was made by accident when a cook mistakenly mixed seawater in soy milk over 2000 years ago. Who’s to verify that? by @missnigeria

My newest favorite thing to make is Kimchi Jjigae!
Oh the tangy caramelized sweetness of it is just so delicious!
Kimchi Jjigae (Korean stew) is so easy to make and packed with so much depth +
FUN FACT, it’s amazing for your gut health as it’s packed with probiotics, lactobacillus, the whole nine yards of a super gut friendly meal. It’s also great for weight management.

It doesn’t have to be made into Jjigae as it can be enjoyed as a side and as my friend recently discovered, as an addition to your salad without dressing!

Don’t sweat it! You can order yourself a bowl of kimchi. Just send me a message I gatchu!
Tell me…
Have you tried kimchi before? Is this something you’d like to experience for yourself? by @missnigeria

One thing I’m gonna do is get the best out of whatever I make in my kitchen. Every other day it’s a mix of several benefits but this time I needed Vitamin C but not in the form of fruits or supplements so a warm crunchy soupy meal like this was bullseye! 🎯 I’m just gonna call this the vitamin c soup. 😁
I had so much fun consuming this and my skin thanked me for it!
So I f you were to make this for yourself, friends or family, are you going the crunchy route whether it breaks the vitamins or not or you’d be maximizing the health benefits as much as you can? by @missnigeria

The best curries in the world have come from many parts of Asia and parts of the Carribean. Apart from the fact that the intricacies of spices, flavors and cooking styles show the complexities of human relationships, curries promote togetherness, love and fellowship as they are meal choices shared with friends, neighbors and spread across family dinner tables.
This is why I chose this recipe for @oma.ndamati
It’d been years since we last saw each other and since it’s always a beautiful experience when we hang out, I had to make a curry like the INDONESIAN CHICKEN PANANG with a little INDIAN XACUTTI influence and it was bomb!

Tag a creator you’d like to see in my kitchen next in the comments. See you in my next one. 💞 by @missnigeria
