A huge congratulations to my daughter, Lola @_llola.art , on completing her final year at Nottingham College studying Art & Design ♥️.

It was fantastic to attend her final exhibition and see the culmination of all her hard work, creativity, and dedication.

For her final project, Lola explored the contrast between the internal romanticisation of bulimia and disordered eating and their harmful reality. Through films, photography, illustrations and a series of posters, she used contrasting scenes placed back-to-back to highlight the difference between distorted perception and reality, while illustrating the loss of control and damaging effects associated with eating disorders.

A powerful, thought-provoking project that tackles an important subject with sensitivity, creativity, and impact.

This achievement feels especially meaningful for me, as it brought back a wave of nostalgia. Many years ago, I began a similar creative journey studying Design & Communication at Loughborough University, so seeing Lola take her next steps in the world of art and design has been a proud and reflective moment.

I’m incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and delighted that she will be continuing her creative journey by undertaking a Foundation Art & Design course next year. I can’t wait to see where her talent, passion, and hard work take her in the future.

Max’s gaming room almost complete!! It wouldn’t be a gamer’s room without a Prime collection.
My first use of a drill to put up some shelves since the early 90’s CDT classes.
A few more shelves to put up, a projector screen and wall art @theelmtreeavenue #prime #gamingroom #westbridgford taken in West Bridgford by @misssamjohnson
