So grateful to have had another opportunity put this piece on stage last weekend @dancecelebrity and earn 2nd Place Contemporary. Endless thanks to my teachers who pour into my progress each and every day, especially to @beyondlimitsworkout for your careful attention, to @ashleylthon for our weekly sessions, and to @gracelyn_dancer for not only being my teacher since the beginning, but also for being the best role model. I am truly blessed and can’t wait until next time!

The VERY BEST two days with @misskathie_nej! Quick backstory. Ms. Kathie was a mentor of my Mom’s not only as a fellow Dee Hillier Dancer, but also as one of her teachers. Since we’re spending a week and a half in NE Ohio (where my Mom grew up), my Mom sent Ms. Kathie a note and asked if she’d be willing to give me a jazz and tap lesson. I am one lucky girl bc she said “Yes!” and we had the very best time.

Ms. Kathie, thank you for teaching me so well and for sharing Ms. Dee’s famous jazz magic with me ✨! My Mom has the goosebumps bc it took her straight back to being a 10-year-old student in Ms. Dee’s class and my dance heart is full. The dance life is just the best life!!! ✨💃🏻🫶🏼🙌🏼💗

Special thanks to Creative Movement Center @creativemovementcenter for allowing us to use your beautiful studio!

Watching this girl pave her path and follow her dreams with determination and strong work ethic makes me so proud, but also finds me wishing I could freeze time to keep her little 🦋

I’m so proud of the way Taylor handled herself last weekend at @starpowertalent. It was the first comp of the season, and I had to go out of town on a work trip. I got her ready, and gave her the biggest squeeze and kiss as I went to meet the driver to go to the airport. I was fighting hard to keep it together as I told her how proud I was of all the hard work she’s put in and to dance big. She simply replied, “Mommy, don’t worry, I’ve got this!”, before giving me a kiss, and going to wave bye with my Mom from the front porch. I got into the car fighting back tears, but proud of the strong, convicted, and independent girl she’s becoming.

Fast forward a couple hours…I was watching with bated breath on my computer from the airport as my sweet girl shined on the stage alongside her Mini Co teammates, as they earned high honors in both jazz and lyrical. She was so honored to receive the following:

Pure Imagination, choreography @sidney.silverthorn
✨1st in Lyrical
✨1st Overall
✨Golden Ticket

Cruella, choreography @annemotl
✨4th Overall
✨Entertainment Award

Taylor is so thankful for @thedallasconservatory_frisco @thedallasconservatory_dance, all her teachers @gracelyn_dancer @larameganweber @annemotl @_lyndsss @sidney.silverthorn, @rileighsanangelo, and our Owner and Artistic Director @jacquelineporterballet for the teaching, mentorship, and opportunities that she is so blessed to have each time she steps in the studio. She can’t wait to be back on the stage next month!
