When I started journaling daily back in 2022, these four topics kept coming back. They became my foundation.

Health. Wealth. Love. Faith.

I didn’t take this from some framework. It came up because when I actually asked myself what I wanted to focus on, that’s what kept coming back.

It’s ultimately what I built my mindset shift on.
When I started, I had no idea what I was doing. But I did have a willingness to ask the question, and to be curious about what change might look like.

Swipe through for the four, and how I applied them in my thinking and daily habits.

This is me, dancing in the gym. This video made me uncomfortable, but I’m posting it anyway.

Because one thing I’m no longer doing in my 40s: waiting to feel ready.

Start the business.
Post the video.
Make the call.
Try the thing.

Every time you act despite the discomfort, you give your brain new evidence: I can do hard things. I can handle being uncomfortable.

At 45, I became more urgent about this.

This is your Midlife Renaissance and it’s time to:

Overthink Less
Do More
Do it scared. Do it awkwardly. Do it before you’re ready.
Just Do It!

About a month ago, I started measuring.

I want to really understand what I am actually eating.

And honestly? I was surprised.

I’m was not eating nearly enough protein.

I was definitely misjudging portions.

Carb portions are definitely less than what you are typically served.

But the biggest thing I’ve noticed after a month?

Measuring hasn’t made me more restrictive. It’s made me more intentional.

I’m learning what enough protein looks like. What a portion looks like. What keeps me full. What fuels my workouts. And what my body actually needs versus what I think it needs.

I definitely don’t want to be measuring my food forever.
But at 45, I’m trying to build a different relationship with my health and my body: understanding it, fueling it and taking care of it.

Another little part of my Midlife Renaissance ♥️

Health • Wealth • Love • Faith

It’s your 40s and it’s time to take care of your health!

We’re not going to be young forever. The habits you build right now are the ones that decide how mobile, strong, and healthy you will be later, or not.

That’s why I take these at home @rythm blood 🩸 tests. It checks your biological age and 25+ biomarkers.

The results came back good overall. My biological age is 8 years younger than my actual age.
But it wasn’t all a win. My cholesterol needs work.
So I am doing something about it. And the number’s already moving in the right direction.

And no, this test does not involve a needle and it does not hurt, at all! taken in At home by @missvanbree

Wealth is one of the 4 pillars I focus on in my Midlife Renaissance.

Health, wealth, love, faith.

Real estate is how me and my husband Walter are actually building it.

Real estate investing is not for everyone. But it’s a clear path to building wealth.

When Walter and I first started, he had to do some serious convincing, because I was scared!

A few properties later, here are 3 things I know now:

1. It gets less scary. You learn as you go.
2. It’s a slow build, not a get rich quick scheme.
3. You have to educate yourself first. Learn how to run the numbers before anything else. Then, at some point, you just have to take the leap.

Here are 3 properties we just went to take a look at.
This is what the wealth pillar actually looks like day to day.

I am here to be your Midlife Renaissance Bestie ✌️

Your forties and over can be challenging, but they don’t have to be!
I just turned 45 and made a conscious choice to make these the BEST years of my life. Let’s not treat it as a decline, rather a rebirth, a season where the parts of yourself you set aside come back online.

It’s not a breakdown. It’s a revelation!

This made me CRINGE 😬

Speaking on camera in my own language(s) felt super uncomfortable. I don’t really know why, but this is my Midlife Renaissance and I am pushing through the discomfort and hitting ’publish’ anyway.

This is me introducing myself in the 3 languages that I speak.

I’d love to hear what languages you speak?

Today’s news about AI taking over the world and killing us all had me feeling anxious. So I definitely needed to hit to gym and listen to something positive.

If you listen to anything this week, let it be @itsbennyblanco’s interview on the @themelrobbinspodcast

He talks about many things, but ‘just get started’ is one that stuck for me. I have been doing just that lately: just do it.

Motivation follows action, not the other way around. Don’t wait to feel ready, just start. Small first steps builds momentum and pulls you into the task. Once you start, your mind stays engaged until it’s finished, called the Zeigarnik effect.

Act first. Let the feeling catch up. 💪 by @missvanbree

It’s your midlife renaissance and it’s time to stop caring about other people’s opinions!

The beauty of being in your midlife renaissance is that you start caring less about what anyone thinks.

Turns out there’s science to back this up. Research from Stanford has shown that as people get older, their amygdala (your brain’s alarm system) actually responds less strongly to negative or threatening social cues, while staying just as responsive to positive experiences. So the part of your brain that used to sound the alarm over judgment, rejection, or “what will people think” quiets down, and the part that lights up for joy stays fully online.
