This is the sacred Boswellia tree — the frankincense tree.
A single, careful cut on the bark is all it takes. The tree begins to “weep” pure white resin.
It needs around 21 days to dry and harden into the precious tears used for incense, high-end perfumery, and essential oil extraction.
When still soft and fresh, it can even be chewed — bitter-sweet and deeply aromatic.
This ancient harvesting method has been practiced for thousands of years in Oman and Yemen. The cut is never random; it’s precise enough to keep the tree alive while producing the purest quality resin.
These same tears are the soul of legendary fragrances like Amouage.
شجره اللبان (درخت کندر) با یه ضربه خیلی سبک روی پوستش شروع می‌کنه به اشک ریختن…
همین قطره‌های سفید و شفاف که می‌بینی، همون «لبان» معروفه.
بعد از ضربه، رزین کم‌کم بیرون می‌زنه و طی حدود ۲۱ روز خشک و سفت می‌شه تا بشه برای بخور، عطرسازی و استخراج اسانس استفاده کرد.
اما تا وقتی هنوز نرم و تازه‌ست، می‌شه حتی خوردنش هم (طعم تلخ‌شیرین و خیلی خاص داره).
این روش سنتی هزاران‌ساله‌ست و هنوز هم تو عمان و یمن با همون ظرافت انجام می‌شه. هیچ درختی بی‌دلیل زخمی نمی‌شه؛ فقط یه برش حساب‌شده که هم درخت زنده بمونه هم بهترین کیفیت رزین به‌دست بیاد.
