Our dad Michael La Rose has been recognised as one of the pioneers of @nhcarnivalldn Big up pops!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ๐ŸŒน Michael and his brother Keith were part of the CDC and the successful fight to keep NHC on the streets against attempts to ban Carnival by Police, Home office, MPs, RBKC and Westminster councils the same people who pretend today that they are all in support of NHC. Between 1983-1995 we formed Peoples War Carnival Band with your Nan and a committee. @mistaredz statrted as a DJ at carnival with PWCB. We produced โ€œRadical Masโ€ and were targeted by police. He also formed an organisation called APC to fight against police control of Carnival with the collaboration and help of the Carnival chair at that time Claire Holder. Recently a researcher wanted to find out about the ideas behind PWCB and APC.He produced a Zine about the history and an exclusive Tshirt for 2026 in tribute to Peoples War Carnival Band. Big up pops! Proud of you โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿซก #MichaelLaRose #PioneerOfNottingHillCarnival #60YearsOfNHC #Proud by @mistaredz
