As the year comes to an end, I wanted to reflect on what had felt like one of my favorite shoots from this year.

We shot first thing in the morning under clear skies. Sun shifting, shadows harsh, and temperatures lowering by the hour. Then @nikhil_odeon shows up, and it was as if every flaw miraculously left.

His charisma is the first attribute I notice with each shot, and it is a representation of the shoot itself. A time spent photographing a friend.

A special thank you to @labodega.dance for not only the opportunity, but the chances you've given me to meet some really great people.

This session with @joshuadickersonofficial has been a game changer. These particular shots came at the end of a small window before he had to leave.

One thing I've learned and admired about Joshua since meeting him is the fact that he works tirelessly!! Greatness is his destination and it's because of his determination to his craft.

To grab these shots in a short time has made me accept the fact that I am ready to accept photography back into my life. I WANT to shoot more, and I will put in the extra hours to make it a part of my life.

Starting this year, I will be doing monthly photoshoots here at @labodega.dance so if you are interested in affordable and quality photos, please feel free to reach out to me. If you're looking to learn from this rising star, you know where to find him.

Every so often you will meet someone whose presence feels like an absolute blessing. We are in fact talking about @sam_mayambo , a guiding light to many of us here in the Chicago area.

As someone who met her this year, I feel I only have a right to speak on their character. BECAUSE they do so many things!!!

These portraits were made for @labodega.dance and a handful of their talented instructors. Artists that stand behind a blank canvas.

Been dancing to everyone else’s music for years. This one’s mine. 🕺🏾😎

Dance plays a different role in my life these days, but it’ll always be part of my artistry. So grateful to my friends and this community for supporting this new chapter while keeping me connected to my roots.

Extra love to @georelr for bringing my music to life through movement and @mister_eman for capturing it so beautifully. Couldn’t have done this without y’all.

Full “Seasons” music video out now. Link in bio :)
