Well I didn’t finish 100 miles because they canceled the century option (well actually that was a miscommunication, but then when we got back to the hub they had closed the third loop anyway) but i DID crush 75 miles with a supreme effort that surprised even me. I had a great time riding bike and drinking Gatorade with the @velogaragekc / royal blue riders crew. by @misterbs

July 2026 was a bit too hot to live up to my full expectations, but not quite enough to teach me regret. I did not ride as much bike as I would have liked, but there is that thing called opportunity cost - choices were made, and I had to balance priorities to make room for all the things important to me (idk what I am even saying right now because it’s 4am and I’m working all night again)
1: @velogaragekc pride ride (remember I helped my friends make tie dyes for this in June?)
2: final @cortadoclub.cc ride out of @gardenhouse.cafe - they ride out of @penrose_kc now, which is significantly farther, making it harder to get there for the 7am ride
3: my garden at work is cranking out many herbs and tomatoes, and soon: bell peppers!
4: July 4th at @stevielee_g and Nick’s where the dogs revealed their true feelings for me
5: Birthday crepe brunch at @sevenswanscreperie_kc with some awesome people who join me on my Monday group rides
6: birthday ride crew @dawnmarieparsons , ebike Mike, and new friend Dave who I met at the barber shop!
7: the squirrels chewed thru the rope twice so now the bird feeder is on a chain, which the squirrels like because it’s easier to climb 🤷‍♂️🐿️
8: picked up a free weed whacker, and carried it home on my cargo bike. This is a proud moment
9: Pecan sticky bun and a vanilla americola from @westplazabodega yum yum
10: took a week off rides to paint the bathroom and bedroom (not pictured) but man - it is hard to paint such a small room
11: My second year at the @farmhouse_classic_gravel - no gold medal for me this year but still a fun time
12: pickle pizza - you either crave it or are repelled by it. There really is no middle ground. @pizzatascio is almost as good as the pickle pizza I make at home
13: when a big truck passes you on a bike, even if they give you enough space, it is a near death vibe.

June was a fun month pretty much all I did was ride my bike and go to work and make new friends and show people how cool you can be when you’re living your authentic self. Also, this month I did sixteen 26 mile rides, and at 44 total, I think I’m in good shape to finish before it gets too cold. by @misterbs

Excellent conditions today (aside from some big trail puddles) for my 27th 26mile ride for #yearofthe26er

In April month I rode a lot of bikes (but not as much as I would have liked), saw three hockey games, and read lots of books with karma. I am stoked for May and #nationalbikemonth
1: sunset rides with new friends and old @imsotropical42 and @therealcharlieanderson
2: riding a bike that is much too small for me (9 - 26mile rides on a 26er this month)
3: Karma loves a good face stretch
4: morning rides with Carson means lots of treats

6: urban gravel garage sale ride with @onestarbicycles
7: other Nathan is excited about new infrastructure
8: Karma can’t cuddle me close enough

March was
Lots of overtime. Growing a mullet (in a good way). Converting a favorite bike from drops and clips to a flat bar with flat pedals. Weathering the storm(s). Practicing low-angle bike shots. Skipping the parade for backyard beers, and then becoming lost in the dungeon with Carl and Donut. And somehow losing half the month reading more voraciously than I have in years. by @misterbs

RIP uncle Jim. You moved to Alaska a long time ago and rarely came to visit. But you did come to my wedding and thats cool. Youwere always a jerk to me and you said many unkind things about me. I wish i had better memories of you but you were a human and I hope you’re in a better place now. I know my dad misses you. by @misterbs
