Come on Leg Day. Let’s beat these meaty Italian thighs up!
Best ways to counter the chaos; love, music, the gym.

Thx @jessmachete for the horse face, you are a treasure.

He was so intent this day.
Camp visit. We could see it in his face. Our son insisted we stay at the edge of the lake all afternoon while he cast his fishing line into the water over and over.
No Bites. Still he was so determined.
And then there was one.
Love this Kid so mucho.

We filled a house full of love.
There’s a moment, at the beginning, where, at first, the island house is empty and the swimming pool shimmers in quiet. It’s because it’s waiting.
We turn on the lights, fill it with our things, and the house comes alive with possibility.
Late nights, early mornings and sparkling afternoons. We eat, we dance, we share. A lot. Never enough.
Almost all of a sudden it is morning and, one by one, the house becomes empty again.
The leaving always gives me a certain melancholy— it’s the space, it’s the measure of the filling up of the house and the emptiness we leave when we are gone.
It’s cliche, memory, but it exists to remind that space that love inhabits is infinite. I love you my friends and family. #pinesparty #fireislandpines by @mistercorvette

Back in my hometown. With my son! Something new struck me. A memory that was different than how I’d always remembered it. When I think of the day I left this place that was my home I only remember the frustration and the catapult and a bus ticket. I’d forgotten this place. I’d forgotten the river that runs under the streets through this small city. I’d forgotten its strange tranquility, its rhythm, and its art. I’d forgotten how much fear I had inside me before I stepped on the bus. Still small pieces of this place pull at my romantic heart. Home. taken in Denver, Colorado by @mistercorvette

I used to only know of this place from a Tori Amos song. Now I know it’s rustic beauty, friendly people, and hidden treasures.
