Join us in celebrating Khalil Peake, our featured BOLD Scholar from Anderson University! A senior studying Elementary Education, Khalil exemplifies what it means to lead, serve, and pursue excellence in everything he does.

Through his work as a Worship Leader with the Youth Ministry at Redemption Church, Khalil is stepping boldly into his leadership purpose. By dedicating his time and talents to uplifting youth through music, faith, and mentorship, he actively strengthens his community and sets a powerful example for the next generation.

BOLD Scholar Check-In

Khalil Peake (@khalilpeake), a junior at Anderson University (AU) (@andersonunivsc), exemplifies leadership and service both on and off campus. As an Elementary Education major, he’s heavily involved in campus life, from student government and the first-year program to worship leadership and the Call Me MISTER program, which helps increase the number of male teachers of color in elementary schools. Peake describes his time at AU as a “blessing” and an opportunity to “glorify God’s kingdom.”

His commitment to service extends beyond the university. He’s an active member of his church’s worship team and kids ministry, and also participates in BCM Go, a traveling ministry team from AU that helps struggling churches.

Academically, Peake is equally dedicated. He maintains a 3.5 GPA, has been on the Dean’s List for the past two semesters, and plans to earn the distinction again. His ability to excel in his studies while balancing numerous leadership and service roles demonstrates his potential as a future educator and leader.
