Today we are getting packed up to head to Houston for the final chapter of Katy’s calf
scramble project. This one has been more than just raising another show steer and holds a little extra meaning since her steer last year broke his leg and we had to put him down. This will be our third round into a major in a week, to say we are exhausted is an understatement, but wouldn’t change a thing!!! by @mistydvasquez

The girls are selling meal tickets for the Blue and Gold Bash on November 8th. Tickets are $15 each and they will be Bar-B -Q plates. Money raised will go towards helping the youth with experiences in the agriculture field. This past week has been a whirlwind of homecoming activity. It ended yesterday with the homecoming dance and I’d say we have two pretty looking young ladies!!! They are definitely growing up too fast but wouldn’t change it!! by @mistydvasquez

So it’s SHOWTIME again!!! This weekend is one of the shows the girls look forward to the most—the Smithville Livestock Show!! This year has held ups and downs for the girls with their animals from having to put one steer down due to a broken leg and having another steer get 2nd and make the sale in San Antonio!! They have learned that nothing is ever guaranteed. Katy and Audrey would love for you to come out and support them with their barrows along with all the other projects that will be exhibited by all the hard working youth of our community!!

The rabbits will show on Friday evening at 5:30pm and all other species will be Saturday starting at 8am. The sale will be at 4:30pm Saturday afternoon. by @mistydvasquez

A week ago today we became a Pops and a MoMo!!! To say that Miss Tatum Mae is already a little spoiled would be an understatement!! We already love her so much and could not be prouder of the mother that Brooke has become. by @mistydvasquez

To say we were beyond proud of our baby this week is an understatement!!!! Audrey showed her steer in San Antonio and ended up with 2nd place Lightweight Red Angus making the sale!!! This year has been a rough one for steers at the house but this placing helped!!! After going to major shows with hogs and steers since she was in 3rd grade—this is the first time Audrey has found a sale spot!!! Again super proud!!!

San Antonio allows people to Add-On to exhibitors that go through the sale and is one of the major sales that allow the exhibitor to keep all the money they sale for!!! If you feel inclined to add on and support Audrey (all money the girls get go to their savings), I will put a link in the comments!! by @mistydvasquez
