sales (noun) \ ˈsālz \The ability to create opportunities where others see obstacles. Turning conversations into relationships, relationships into results, and dreams into reality.Everybody keeps asking, “Where are you taking your talents?”The truth is, with multiple opportunities on the table, that announcement can wait.Four years ago, I left Cleveland, Mississippi and arrived at Tennessee State University with ambition, faith, and a vision bigger than myself. Along the way, God blessed me with mentors, lifelong friendships, brotherhood, leadership opportunities, internships, victories, setbacks, lessons, and memories that shaped me into the man I am today. To my family, thank you for every sacrifice, prayer, phone call, and word of encouragement. Every accomplishment with my name on it belongs to you too.To my professors, mentors, classmates, friends, and brothers who poured into me throughout this journey, thank you for helping me grow both personally and professionally. Most importantly, I give all glory to God. There were moments when I didn’t understand the plan, but He never stopped ordering my steps. Every opportunity, every closed door, every challenge, and every blessing happened exactly when it was supposed to.The offers are on the table. The degree is in my hand.I showed the World Korben L. Pimp or Die That’s the motherf***in motto that I live by… ♦️To the Alpha Theta None GreATer Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., what an honor it has been to serve and pledge this chapter. Since my freshman year, I wanted to join this esteemed chapter and continue the legacy of Achievement and GreATness, and that’s exactly what I did. I thank every brother who welcomed me into the bond, mentored me, and helped shape me into the brother I am today. To the KArTel,24 in, 24 out… my brothers for life. I could write a book on our bond and the memories we’ve created in only two years in the Bond. The love I have for each of y’all is everlasting, and I can’t wait to see what we all accomplish in the near future. You guys have taught me so much about myself, and together, the 24 popped it time and time again and took over the campus — now we on our way to take over the world. Keep Achieving, LBs. I wouldn’t trade y’all boys for the world. #LLKArTel24To K25…The line that brought me in and gave us the keys from y’all’s experience — and we popped it together every time. Every time I hang with y’all, I’m called “Baby 25” 😂. Y’all not just my pros, but brothers 4L. Forever grateful to have y’all in my corner and for introducing me and my LBs into the chapter… YO.To K26…Neos, the potential y’all have is exactly why we picked y’all boys, and we’re proud of everything y’all are doing. Keep setting the standard on campus and letting these folks know what it means to be None Greater. Shoutout MoneyTeam & DreAmTeam.Yooo to the Good…👌🏾Signing Out,Kode SwitchKeeper of Exchequer4K-AΘ-SPR ’24 by @misunderstoodmoment

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6May 1st, 2026. The day it became official.Just a kid from St. Louis who had to pave his own path in this field. I took a swing shot on engineering and locked in. Late nights turned into all-nighters. All-nighters turned into semesters. Semesters turned into a degree. Every equation memorized at 3AM, every exam I almost didn’t make it out of, every moment I questioned if I was built for this but it was all part of the formula.Today I stand among the less than 3% of Black engineers in America. That’s not just a personal win, that’s generational.Tennessee State University, College of Engineering; you built something in me that can’t be taken away. They’ll try to downplay the journey. They’ll try to downplay the result. But men lie, women lie, numbers don’t.Check the stats. ⚡🐯✅4x Dean’s List✅National Society of Black Engineers Collegiate Member ‘21-‘26✅National Society of Black Engineers Finance Chair TSU Chapter ‘24-‘25✅National Society of Black Engineers National Conference ‘23 & ‘24✅National Society of Black Engineers Scholarship Awardee St. Louis Chapter ‘22 & ‘23✅Becoming Everything You Are (BEYA) STEM Conference 2025✅Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers✅ClayCo Construction Project Engineer Intern 2022✅Clearwater Paper Powerhouse Intern 2024✅Southwest Power Pool Engineering Intern 2025✅Accessing Careers in Energy Summit 2024 CohortRyan A. In 6 days, I will graduate North Carolina A&T State University. This chapter closes with gratitude for the lessons, the growth, and the resilience it demanded. Three years ago I walked onto this campus with a vision. I leave with a degree, a purpose sharpened by experience, and a deeper understanding of what it means to serve.None of this was done alone. To my family, my mentors, and the community that poured into me before I ever had the words to ask for it, thank you. To everyone who defended me, protected me, and advocated for me in rooms I never entered, thank you. You showed me what loyalty looks like when no one is watching. You showed me what leadership looks like when it is lived, not just spoken. That legacy walks across the stage with me.The next chapter opens at George Washington University, where I will pursue my master’s in Security Policy Studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs.Oh… And I did it in three. With Gratitude, 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐄. Throughout my time at A&T, I sought to be a beacon of hope and proof of what is possible. Across the nation, students continue to show up for each other and build collective action. I will not pretend it was easy.A&T is not always fond of those who break away from the mold. Some chapters are written in silence, persistence, and faith.I have learned what it means to stand alone in adversity and keep choosing integrity when it is inconvenient. Sometimes people talk about you, not because you are wrong, but because it is easier than supporting you.Still, I chose purpose over acceptance and progress over comfort. I advocated for communities that would have gone unsupported. I poured myself into campaigns for HBCUs and students nationwide. I loved my institution loudly, even when that love was not always returned.I organized, I strategized, and I served. I stood in front of lawmakers on behalf of students who never had a seat at the table. I mobilized voters when systems were designed to discourage us. I showed up when it cost something. More times than I can count, it cost me personally. I paid that price without hesitation, and I would pay it again. We are living in one of the most consequential political moments this generation has ever faced. History is being written in real time. Silence is not a neutral position. Voting rights are under assault. HBCU students are being targeted by policy and by design. This moment demands more than good intentions. It demands the prepared, the principled, and the persistent. And this generation has all three. To every student who has ever felt like they were fighting alone: you were not. Across every campus and every state, there are students just like you who chose purpose over comfort. We are not a moment. We are a movement. Our obligation does not end at the finish line; it begins there. What we build from here will determine what the next generation inherits.North Carolina A&T, I am grateful for what you gave me, and I have made peace with what you withheld. The chapter at A&T is closed. The work it was training me for has only just begun.#ncatgrad #hbcu #classof2026 #aggiepride #graduationseason by @misunderstoodmoment
