COUNTDOWN TO THE CROWN NR7.

This week is going to be a whirlwind as I get everything ready and pack my suitcase for the final of @missvoluptuouspageants . Some things have already arrived, while others are still on their way.

Amidst all the stress, excitement and little moments of anxiety, I’m also soaking up every second of these preparations. There’s something so special about knowing that the moment we’ve been working towards is finally getting closer.

I honestly can’t wait for everything to be packed, the nerves to settle, and to finally have it all behind me, so I can simply be present, enjoy every moment, and make the most beautiful memories with all the girls. by @miszohyda

COUNTDOWN TO THE CROWN...!!! Day 6

This is a quote that has stayed with me for many years:

" The heart that loves is always young.”

Through both the good times and the bad, I choose to continue loving others. Regardless of their negative intentions, I try not to carry negativity within myself. As long as I continue to forgive and accept people for who they truly are, I will keep growing while keeping my heart young, positive, and full of love. by @miszohyda

COUNTDOWN TO THE CROWN...!!

My favorite crowning moment ever was the day I won Miss Curve Nederland ’24.

A year to remember, a year filled with hard work, self discovery, growth, and rediscovery. A journey with its highs and lows, moments of doubt, and moments of pride.

It was a journey where I was given the space to make mistakes, learn from them, and grow into a stronger and more confident version of myself. Throughout it all, I was supported by an organization that encouraged me, believed in me, and gave me the opportunity to keep learning.

Winning the title was more than just a crown. It was a recognition of the hard work, dedication, and personal growth that brought me to that moment. It reminded me that every challenge, every setback, and every lesson has been part of the journey.

Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for everything that year has taught me, the people I’ve met, the memories I’ve created, and the person I’ve become along the way.

A year I will carry with me forever. by @miszohyda

COUNTDOWN TO THE CROWN. Day 4

The best advice I have ever received was.

“Stay true to yourself, because that’s when you shine the brightest and are most authentic.”

Staying true to yourself in the world of pageantry isn’t always easy. When you wear a crown and sash, the world sees you. But I believe that when you stay true to who you are, your story will always shine through.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not the crown that defines you, but the person you are underneath it. You wear the crown, not the other way around.

I wear my crown and sash with pride, not just for what they represent, but because they give me a platform to share my story, to inspire others, and to show that being authentically yourself is the most beautiful thing you can be. by @miszohyda

Today, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey in the Miss Voluptuous pageant. The amount of love and support I have received has been truly overwhelming, and I am incredibly grateful for all the kind words and messages.

I would also like to thank @thepowerofpageantry for the training she has provided me with.

And my amazing photographer @vanalthuisfotografie who helped me for taking my official photos (which are still to come, by the way), but also because she gave me a lot of self confidence during our shoots.

Last but not least, I would like to thank @missvoluptuouspageants for the roundtable sessions we have had the opportunity to attend over the past few months .

My name is Sheila, and I proudly represent Suriname in the Miss Voluptuous pageant.

As a mother, I believe it is important to motivate my daughter to pursue her goals and dreams. However, I want to do more than just encourage her. I also want to guide her and create a safe space where she feels comfortable opening up and expressing her feelings.

I want to incorporate this vision into my platform by encouraging young people to take steps toward better mental well being. My goal is to establish a motivational support group where young people can connect, share their personal experiences, encourage one another, and inspire others through their stories.

Unfortunately, due to my own mental health challenges, I have not yet been able to bring this initiative to life. Nevertheless, I remain committed to making it happen in the future by collaborating with the right organizations.

Because sometimes, making a difference in someone’s life does not require a grand gesture. Simply being there to listen or inspiring someone by sharing your own story can make a meaningful difference. by @miszohyda

COUNDOWN TO THE CROWN..!!!

Today is the first day of october and that means PAGEANT MONTH. So let me share a little service recap...

My favorite service project was attending a small Kiki Ball.

For me, showing up is an act of solidarity. Standing beside my LGBTQ+ family, celebrating their strength, and making sure they know they are seen, supported, and never alone.

We need to keep showing up for one another, lifting each other up, and creating spaces where everyone can be their authentic selves without fear.

Because solidarity isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we practice. ❤️🏳️‍🌈 by @miszohyda

I believe that when young people experience mental health challenges, they should not feel alone or lose motivation to move forward.
That's why I want to create motivation groups where young people can come together, share their experiences,
support each other, and take small steps toward feeling better. My goal is to create a safe and positive environment where young people feel heard, understood, and encouraged. by @miszohyda
