Coach Sloan will be on site at Youth Nationals this Saturday and Sunday to chat about rowing at MIT for both the men’s lightweight and heavyweight programs! Make sure you fill out the recruiting questionnaire at the link in our bio, and email easloan@mit.edu or DM here to find a time to connect at the course (class of 2027 and above). Coach Hanig of the MIT open women @girlsintheboat will also be at the course. Best of luck to everyone racing! taken in Nathan Benderson Park by @mit_t150

As the dust settles from the 2026 IRA, we’re reflecting on what was a historic regatta and historic season for the T150s. Both the 1V and 2V had some of the best regular season records our program has seen in the IRA era. The 1V made the grand final for just the second time since 1993, and in an incredibly tight race finished under two seconds outside the medals and just 0.2 seconds out of fourth. In our first time ever racing the second varsity eight at the national championship, the 2V narrowly missed making the grand with a fourth-place finish in the heat, then followed it up with a competitive performance in the petite final. Both crews were anchored by our standout class of 2026, who sacrificed attending their MIT graduation to race for glory on the waters of Lake Natoma. This class has had an immeasurable impact on getting this team to where it is today, and we’re so incredibly grateful that we don’t have to say goodbye to them just yet: practices have resumed back home on the Charles, and in two weeks we fly to the UK for our first Henley campaign in over a decade.

A huge thank you to our parents, alumni, friends, and teammates across the boathouse for all of the tremendous support this season. The T150s are very lucky to have all of you in our corner. See you in England! 🚀 taken in Lake Natoma by @mit_t150
