On this day, 18 April, Lieutenant Colonel James “Jimmy” Doolittle, aviation pioneer and MIT alum, led 16 B-25 Bombers in the first morale-boosting strike of the Japanese mainland. Today, we honor the sacrifices made by all 80 service members. As a detachment, we continue to strive to exemplify this spirit of courage, grit, and determination in all we do!
